A second grant request was receNed in November 2020 from Action Medical Research to continue supporting a T-ALL drug resistance study led by Dr Frederik van Defft at Newcastle Universty. The trustees considered that the application was in line our charitable objects. The trustees also gave regard to the Charity Commission public benefit guidance and agreed the award fulfilled statutory public benefit criteria. A report from the research team detailed work completed to date and papers successfully published. A second grant of £10,000 was approvod which was paid in earfy 2021. Section D Achievements and performance The Charity has a signfficant number of fundraisers and supporters who continue to Work hard for the charity for which w8 are truly very grateful. The Charity continued as the nominated charity for Cheerbrook Fami Shop during 2020. Summary of the main achievements of the charlty during tho year Cheerbrook Fam Shop raised a total of £1546 via collection tubs, Carrier bag sales and other fundraising efforts throughout the year The Charity held fuThlraising event, a Valentine's Ball in February 2020 vthich was very well attended. The event in total raised £13,000. Shortly after our Valentine's Ball the Covid pandemic struck and our ability to fundraise for the rest of the year was severely curtailed. Nevertheless, there were a significant number of other individual donations and fundraising giving a total net income of £16889. Induded in this are donations received via Amazon Smile. TAR mSh 2012
