To promote sustainable development for the benefit of the public by: (a) the preservation, conservation and the protection of the environment and the prudent use of resources; (b) the relief of poverty and the improvement of the conditions of life in socially and economically disadvantaged communities; and (c) the promotion of sustainable means of achieving economic growth and regeneration. 

To advance the education of the public in subjects relating to sustainable development and the protection, enhancement and rehabilitation of the environment and to promote study and research in such subjects provided that the useful results of such study are disseminated to the public at large. Sustainable development means “development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. 



Our activities over the year have continued to focus on setting up the charity, raising awareness of the charity, and generating base funds. 

The trustees declare that they have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit (published at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/public-benefit-rules-for-charities#the-publicbenefit-requirement) and have established systems and controls to ensure compliance with it before making charitable grants.

A summary of key achievements and activities conducted over the annual period is set out below: 

Numerous visits to local schools and Churches to raise awareness of the Charity and to secure selection as “charity of choice”. 

- Support schools in Nguti with shoes, writing materials, books and school bags 

- Building a sensory living garden in Crondall primary school to encourage biodiversity and conservation 

- Support the Crondall primary school allotment to encourage childree=n understand where food comes from

The trustees aim to maintain reserves at a level which equates to approximately three months of unrestricted charitable expenditure. The trustees consider that this level will provide sufficient funds to respond to applications for grants, identify suitable projects, and ensure that support and governance costs are covered. The trustees consider that a level of three months is sufficient given the ongoing level of donations and low regular fixed cost.
