The purpose of our charity is to provide a village hall for the use of parishioners in the
8ucklebury and surroundin8 parishes.
The hall has a number of regul¥ users from Community and Ywth groups, indudin8 a
weekly Sewing Group. an Art Group a History Group. Horticultural Soaety Show5 and for the
youth a Pony aub and weekly booking5 for Cubs, Scouts and Guide5. It is Used for many
Chlldren's parties and Weddin8s and Remembrance 83therin8s. It now has a number of
more commercial artivities butthese are also for the wellbeing of local inhabitsnts including
Pilates. Yoga and Arts and Crafts courses. There is a quarterly seasonal supper hosted by a
local chef.
The trustees hosted two events in the year that raised £4.655 of which 50% was donated to
local charities and the balance is used for hall maintenance and keepin8 our letting Costs low
for the Community and Youth Groups. These events rely heavily on local support and
volunteers for whlch we are very grateful.
Lettlnss Income Increased 32% over the previous year to a record £16,418. It is unlikely we
will see revenue5 increase from thls level in the future. The trustees contlnue to re-lnvest
surplus Income over expendlture Into the hall to make sure It is malntslned to a high
standard, We dosed the finandal year with a bank balance of £36,103. The trustees wlll
continue to make investments into the hall over the coming year.
The trustees believe the charity is in a strong finanaal position and will continue with its
obJectJve of providln8 a quality ￿lIage hall at a reasonable cost.
