Trustee Re
rt for the Wicto
Room Bucklebu
2023
The use of our newly refurbished hall continues to strengthen. Lettings income increased
41% over the previous year to a record £12.422. The hall has a number of regular users from
Community and Youth groups. including Beavers. Cub5, Scout and Guides. Children's parties,
Weddings and Remembrance 8atherin8s have formed a significant part of our income but
the income is well spread amon&st users.
The hall made a surplus of income over expenditure on hall lettings and costs of
approximately £4k but invested £9k in acoustic panels and a patio to the rear of the hall.
The trustees had two fund raising events, a Ceilidh and our 13th Annual Beerfest and Family
Fun Day. The Beerfest was supported by volunteers from Macmillan Cancer Support and
after making donations to them the net sum raised was just over £2k.
The trustees believe the hall Is well placed to increase its utilisation and revenues in the next
financial year and will start makin8 provislon for redecoration and maintenance so the hall Is
kept in good condition.
