Objectives and activities
The object of The Visual Snow Foundation ( "Charity" ) is to promote and protect good health for the public benefit, in particular but not exclusively, by: Summary of the objects of the a) raising public awareness of Visual Snow Syndrome ( "VS" ) through the charity set out in its provision of an informative publicly accessible website including support governing document for sufferers; and b) funding research into VS, the useful results of which will be disseminated for the public benefit. In furtherance of limb (a) of the Charity’s objective, the Charity has raised awareness of VS, and supported suffers of VS, through the provision of its website, www.visualsnowsyndrome.com ( "Website" ). In furtherance of limb (b) of the Charity’s objective, the Charity has raised funds for research into VS, principally by undertaking the following activities:
Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)

continuing receiving donations from the PayPal Giving Fund, which uses PayPal technology and financial support systems to raise new funds for good causes without charging donors or charities for its services;
-
maintaining a fundraiser on the GoFundMe crowdfunding platform to collect donations and any related Gift Aid contributions (please note that this is also paid to the Charity via the PayPal Giving Fund);
-
continuing the Charity's partnership with the Amazon Smile programme, pursuant to which an Amazon customer can elect (at no extra cost) that Amazon donates 0.5% of their order price to the Charity; and
-
granting raised funds to the Visual Snow Global Research Fund, which is administered and distributed by the Visual Snow Initiative – an American public charity under the fiscal sponsorship of the Edwards Charles Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organisation – to key VS research teams across the world as and when it is needed.
Pursuant to section 17(5) of the Charities Act and the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008, the Charity Trustees have had regard to the guidance on public benefit issued by the Charity Commission when exercising any powers of duties to which the guidance was relevant.

the Charity granted a sum of £452 to the VSI.
