## **Appointment of charity trustees** 

1. Apart from the first charity trustees, every trustee must be appointed [for a term of [three] years] by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees. 

2. In selecting individuals for appointment as charity trustees, HOC trustees must have regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of HOC objectives.

## **Evangelism** 

HOC evangelism activities returned to the streets following the lifting of Covid restrictions during the reporting period, as a result we were able to distribute over 1000 gospel materials. 

## **Material assistance to the homeless** 

Material assistance has mostly been directed to the following charity organisations during the reporting period:

   - Marylebone project 

   - NSNO (No Second Night Out)  Family Spirit (Orphanage in Uganda) 

- Zoe Girls (residential/vocational home for destitute girls in Uganda) 

- Baptist Outreach Church (Christian/welfare outreach to rural Nigeria) 

- Selection of material support provided in UK to the homeless through NSNO and Marylebone project include; 

   - Regular supply of provisions (Socks, underwear, tinned food, breakfast cereal & toiletries) 

   - Welcome rucksacks provided to newly admitted homeless women at Marylebone project 

   - Provision of beddings and room furniture to Marylebone project  Christmas treats provided to the homeless residents at Marylebone project 

   - **Support for Outreach ministries**  HOC maintain consistent modest financial support towards missionary Christian outreach to the Jewish community via CWI (Christian Witness to Israel)

## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

## **Evangelism** 

HOC returned to active street evangelism following the lifting of Covid restrictions during the reporting period, as a result we were able to distribute over 1200 gospel materials. 

**Material assistance to the homeless** Most of the material assistance we delivered to the needy in the UK was channelled through our engagement with NSNO and Marylebone project. These organisations provide frontline services to the homeless in London.

||them into independent residential accommodation.|
||**Marylebone project**is residential unit for homeless women in London. The|
||hostel run by Church Army in central London has capacity to accommodate 112|
||women and play host to appx 50 non-resident homeless women who drop-in|
||daily to shower and access other welfare assistance.|
|We also provided fnancial support to cater for rural evangelism in Nigeria, the welfare||
|needs of|orphans and destitute girls via the following organisations in Uganda.|

|**Glassdoor:**||
||Provision of toiletries and dry food items to support the homeless at Christmas.|
|**NSNO:**||
||Provision of toiletries, food items and winter clothing to support homeless|
||service users.|
|**Family Spirit:**||
||We provided welfare support towards feeding and medication for the|
||orphanage with residence of appx 100 children in Uganda.|
|**Zoe Girls:**||
||We provided welfare support towards feeding, education and medication for the|
||girls home  – residence to approximately 25 teenage girls in Uganda.|
|**Glad Tidings Baptist Church:**||
||We provided fnancial support towards construction of a rural|
||church/community building in rural Nigeria.|
|**Support for Outreach ministries:**||
||HOC provided modest regular fnancial support towards outreach ministry to|
||the Jewish community via CWI (Christian Witness to Israel). Approximately £600|
||fnancial support to help with gospel resources and outreach to Jewish|
||communities in UK and Europe.|
