## **Evangelism** 

HOC evangelism efforts during the reporting period were primarily delivered via online channels and social media due to impact of covid. 

## **Material assistance to the homeless** 

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)** 

Most of the material assistance we offered during the reporting period to the needy was provided to Marylebone project. We also provided financial support to cater for the feeding and welfare needs of orphans and destitute girls in Uganda through 2 NGOs - Family Spirit Orphanage and Zoe Girls home in Uganda Marylebone project is a residential unit for homeless women in London. The hostel run by Church Army in central London has capacity to accommodate 112 women and play host to appx 50 non-resident homeless women who drop-in daily to shower and access other welfare assistance 

Selection of material support provided to the homeless through NSNO and Marylebone project include;  Regular supply of provisions (Socks, underwear, tinned food, breakfast cereal & toiletries)  Welcome rucksacks provided to newly admitted homeless women at Marylebone project  Christmas gifts provided to the homeless residents at Marylebone project **Support for Outreach ministries**  HOC continue to provide modest regular financial support towards missionary Christian outreach to the Jewish community via CWI (Christian Witness to Israel)

## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** angelism 

## **Evangelism** 

HOC evangelism efforts during the reporting period were primarily delivered via online channels and social media due to covid restrictions that were in operation for most of the reporting period. However, we were able to resume limited street evangelism in the later part of reporting period. 

## **Material assistance to the homeless** 

Most of the material assistance we offer to the needy is channelled through our engagement with NSNO, Glassdoor and Marylebone project. They all provide frontline services to the homeless in London (NSNO offer temporary respite to homeless persons and process them into independent residential accommodation). We also provided financial support to cater for the feeding and welfare needs of Family Spirit Orphanage and Zoe Girls home in Uganda 

Marylebone project is residential unit for homeless women in London. The hostel run by Church Army in central London has capacity to accommodate 112 women and play host to appx 50 non-resident homeless women who drop-in daily to shower and access other welfare assistance. 

Below is a selection of achievements in relation to support for the needy 

## **Marylebone project:** 

- Welcome rucksacks all stocked with personal care items and toiletries provided to newly admitted homeless women at Marylebone project 

- Provision of 180 set of cutleries for homeless residents 

- Provision of dressing gowns for the residents 

- Provision of duvet & duvet covers for bedding 

**Glassdoor:** 

- Provision of food items to feed the homeless and toiletries 

## **Chelsea Methodist Church:** 

- Provision of food items and clothing to support the needy & homeless in the community 

## **NSNO:** 

- Provision of toiletries, food items and winter clothing to support homeless service users (shower gel, toothpaste, tooth brush, tined food, pot noodles, breakfast cereal, ready frozen meals, winter coats, joggers, hoodys, socks, underwear, socks) 

## **Family Spirit:** 

 Orphanage with residence of appx 100 children in Uganda, we provide welfare support towards food, education and medication for the orphans 

## **Zoe Girls:** 

- Girls home for destitute and vulnerable young girls – residence to approximately 25 teenage girls in Uganda, we provide welfare support towards food, education and medication for the girls 

## **Discover the Kingdom:** 

- Provided music equipment support to enable Discover the Kingdom to launch outreach ministry to students and young people in Bristol 

- **Support for Outreach ministries:** 

   - HOC provide modest regular financial support towards outreach ministry to the Jewish community via CWI (Christian Witness to Israel). Approximately £600 financial support to help with gospel resources and outreach to Jewish communities in UK and abroad
