Para 1.20 | During 2020/21, we have made arrangements to continue working with members of the charity online, with regular rehearsals and meetings to discuss opera repertoire and technique. Throughout this period we had a number of planned outreach and educational events, including performances for residential homes and other outreach events, which had to be cancelled due to government restrictions. We have a number of events planned for the autumn, including a public masterclass and a staged opera with orchestra in local community venues |

Para 1.22 | Reserves policy agreed by Opera Viva Committee on 24/4/19: Opera Viva aims to have a reserve of £2,000, available to spend at short notice to cushion us against any financial problems. This represents the approximate cost of having to cancel a major production for uninsurable reasons. Each year our annual budget will allocate up to £250 to go into the reserve fund until the £2,000 target is reached. |
