## **Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document** 

To promote the benefits of community-based activity and education to maintain and improve the wellbeing of the people of Longridge and its surrounding villages. Activity is needs led and based on inclusive engagement of the whole community. 

## **Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)** 

During the year activities were still curtailed by the Covid-19 situation. 

Project funding was put in place from 3 sources to start new projects from April 2022. 

1. Longridge Town Council to enable the delivery of a Youth Council reporting to the full council. 

2. Onward Homes to establish a youth podcast group that would be trained and monitored by LCA to produce podcasts by themselves for consumption by the youth of Longridge. 

3. Longridge Christmas Market to provide general funds to enable further support and consultation with young people at risk of committing ASB.

Three volunteers supported the activity of the charity where needed during the year. 

Two new trustees were appointed during the year.

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

For the period of this report Covid-19 restricted the delivery of all projects in some way or other. Steps were taken to be ready for the lifting of all restrictions, especially in schools, to enable existing projects to re-commence. From February 2022 the charity commenced the Longridge Town Youth Council information sessions in Longridge High School funded by Longridge Town Council. 

The charity held events under the “Longridge Social” banner to enable residents of Longridge to attend the events to meet others funded by the Lottery-Community Fund. The charity delivered the HAF programme locally of behalf of Ribble Valley Borough Council.

He charity does not employ paid staff nor lease property. It ensures that insurance for public liability is in place when required.
