Haworth Riding for the Disabled (Haworth RDA) has the responsibly of co-operating
with Riding for the Disabled Associatioii Incorporating Carriag¢ Drivirjg. A UK
Company Limited by Guarantee No 5010395. A Charity Registered in England &
Wales (No 2441 OX) and Scotland (No SC039473), in promoting in the physical
activity of horse riding for the beneficial purposes of disabled adults and children, this
included fine and gross motor skills, posture, position, social awar¢n¢sy and
conversation. self-esteem and fun - from gra55 roots riders to competitive riders. We
offer educatioiial d¢velopm¢nt via After School Clubs, Holiday Clubs and work
pl¢lL¢Tnents

The Haworth RDA group is committed to enabling as rnany people as possible to ride
at our facility aiid becomc part of our team. The Haworth RDA maintains ali overview
of activities through the group and makes suggestions on how our services can
involvc the many groups that visit oiir Geiilre evury weck. Our serviues and activities
are pui into practice Ihrou¥h riding lessons, stable inanagements, events and
competitions. aftcr school clLibs. lunch clubs and holiday clubs, day trips and social
events.

commission's guidance on public benefit and, in particular, the specific &)uidance
from ihe charities for the advanccmcnt of hors¢ riding.
Achlevements and Performance
Th¢ Haworth RDA are keen to offer a range of services during the week and over the
course of the year that oiir i'iders find beneficial, for example riding lessons, pony club
activilics. danc¢s, competitions, arts and crafts ctc. Wc have 31 regular riders at
present and offer 31 sessions each week.
We had seventeen of our riders compete in the RDA virtual championships .
Six young people have used us to facilitate their work placements from school or
college.
Three young people used us to facilitate their Duke of Edinburgh Award

Over the past years the Haworth RDAG has reached more people in the community.
whilst offering re5Plte care to the families and carers of our riders. in a wider scale.
This was achieved with the help and support of the Big Lottery Fund providing
salaries, and with the help from our volunteers and Several staff delivering fund
raising activities each month, whilst still providing the therapeutic lessons each week.
The group has maintained a high-level profile in the local Community enabling them
to delivery their service, whilst reaching over 30 community groups ￿ch year.

Haworth riding for the disabled (Haworth RDA) was founded in August 2001.
Tlie chai'ity employs I full-time staff Jnember and 8 part-time staff. salaries for these
posts is funded by the Big Lottery Fund (Restricted Income).
The Charity also relies on its volunteers.
The charity holds moiithly ¢omrnittee Tneetings during the year in which all the
stees attend.
All trustees are already familiar With the practical work of the charity, being
parentslcareers of soine of our riders or are existing volunteers. We are always
seeking the help of new trustees.
An induction process is in place for new trnstees. which involves awareness of a
trustee's IEypoiisibiliti¢s. the governing document, administrative procedures, the
history and philosophical approach of the charity.
The Management committee conduct regular reviews of the major risks to which the
charity is exposed. where appropriate, systems and procedures liave been established
to litigat¢ th¢ risks it faccs.
All trustees, staff and volunteers over the age of16 are DBS verified.
To demonstrate its conccrn for all members of the community it employs and serves.

grievance procedure and must comply with the health and safety at work act 1974 and

I rep)rt on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 October 2024, which ar¢
set out within these reports and accounts.
Respective responsibilities of the trustee and examiner
As a charities trustee you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. you
consider that an audit requirement of section 43 (2) of the chariti¢s act 1993 does not
apply and that an independent examination is needed.
It is iny responsibly to..
l ) Examine the a¢counts under section 43 (3) (b) of the 1993 act.
2) To follow the procedure laid down in the general directions gtven by the
charity cornmoners under section n43 (7) (b) of the act.
3) In addition, to state whether particulars malters have come to my attention.
Basis of independents Examiners Report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by
the charity cominissioners. An exaniinalion included a Teview of the ac¢ountin
record kept by the charity and a comparison of the presented accounts with that
record. It also includes consideration of any unusual iteins or discloser in the
accounts, and seeking explanation trom you as a Irustee concerning any such matter.
The procedure undertaken does not provide all the evidence that would be required in
an audil. and consequcntly I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the
account.
Independent Examiners Statement
