We are working more Collaboratively with other Mohanji Foundations in the world as well as engaging with the work of other Mohanji platforms which are consistent with the objectives of Mohanji Foundation UK. We work collaboratively with Mohanji ACT Foundation in the UK for fundraising efforts which are being conducted jointly. Net income generated is being shared. The Foundation is looking to create a Mohanji centre of benevolence in the UK and will also support the creation of other centres of benevolence in India and Europe (Slovenia). A team has been formed for fundraising and assessment of areas - Currently the Foundation is not exposing itself to any financial risks and is fully covered for existing activities by appropriate insurance with Zurich insurance company. However, the Foundation has set up a limited company called MCB Enterprises Ltd to minimise exposure to risk, in particular for non-primary purpose trading activities of the Mohanji Centre of Benevolence. ## **Section C Objectives and activities** **Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document** **To advance the Sanatana Dharma Universal religion for the benefit of the public in accordance with the teachings of Brahmarishi Mohanji by:** a) conducting services (satsang) that promote physical and mental wellbeing, in particular through the practice of meditation, yoga and breathing techniques, **TAR** March **2012** 2 b) conducting classes on meditation, yoga and breathing techniques, c) providing classes, programs, seminars, retreats, workshops, books, videos and other educational materials, d) establishing and maintaining ashrams, temples, prayer halls, and meditation halls, e) co-operating with government bodies, non-governmental organisations and other registered charities for the furtherance of the charity’s objects, f) soliciting, collecting, receiving acquiring, holding and investing funds and property received by gift, donation, contribution or bequest for the furtherance of the charity’s objects, g) applying the proceeds, income and rents derived from any property of the charity for the furtherance of the charity’s objects, i) doing all such things as may be necessary or conducive to further the objects of the charity, as permitted by the laws of England & Wales. ## **SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES FOR MOHANJI FOUNDATION UK FROM APRIL 2021 to MARCH 2022 CONDUCTED FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT** As we emerge from the Covid 19 lockdown, we have commenced some in person activities. ## **Programmes:** These typically consist of one or more of the following activities - yoga, meditation, conscious walking, conscious dancing, Mai Tri session and group discussion plus vegan lunch. ## **On line activities April 2021 to March 2022** **Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)** These sessions came about as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, transitioning the activities to on line. - Daily meditation sessions - Weekly online Kriya sessions - Blog reading - Testimonial reading - Veda chanting and breathing exercises - Weekly group satsang/discussion - Podcast sessions - Special chanting events - Special fundraising events - Online Mai-Tri (details below) Total programmes on Zoom 600 (participation: 5,000 people in total) Total programmes on Facebook 800 (participation 3340 people in) ## **Mai Tri Method** - Distant Mai-Tri sessions 1000+ sessions - No. of practitioners trained increased to 14. - Increased activity by all practitioners during the Coronavirus pandemic. ## **Blogs, books and publications** Blogs: - Various testimonials written and proof read by UK testimonials team for publishing on public forums and social media **TAR** March **2012** 3 Books: Collaborating with Gurulight team to co-ordinate write ups, proof read and support with printing of the following new publications: Guru Leela 5, Silence of Shiva, MAST book written by Mohanji. Books/blogs Translation - Ongoing translation of books and blogs into other languages such as Tamil, Singhalese, Chinese and Marathi Facebook translation: Ongoing translation of Facebook pages into Tamil. Marathi, Punjabi and Sinhalese. **Physical in person meditation sessions:** The team started in person meditation sessions in September 2021 until November 2021 with social distancing and not performing energy transfer. These sessions were sparsely attended due to ongoing concerns regarding covid 19. We eventually paused them in November due to a rise in cases again with a view to resume in spring 2022. **Van purchase:** The Trustees along with Mohanji ACT Foundation jointly purchased a van. This was done mainly by donors donating directly to Mohanji ACT Foundation for the purchase. As this van is to be used mainly for Service activities performed by ACT, the financial arrangements for ongoing costs is split as 25% Mohanji Foundation and 75% ACT Foundation. ## **Mohanji’s visit in March 2022** Mohanji visited the UK in March 2022 and we arranged a one day programme at the Copthorne Tara Hotel in Central London. This was very successful and we had about 100 participants which was the capacity of the hall. In addition to this we had a Fruit Tree planation event in Woodley together with the Local Councilor Laura Bloomberg and the local mayor. This was highlighted in the local press. **Mohanji Centre of Benevolence (MCB):** This is a flagship project. The MCB will be the headquarters of Mohanji Foundation and meet one of our key charitable objectives. The Trustees have developed a specification, road map and set up team for property search and fundraising. In preparation for the MCB, the murtis (idols) of Shirdi Baba, Lord Ganesh and Lord Dattatreya were commissioned from Jaipur. These idols will be made in Marble over the next few months and expected to be dispatched to the UK later this year, most likely between October to December.
