The Trustees present their annual report together with the financial statements of Behind Every Kick for the year
ended 31 August 2024.
Objectives and activities
a. Polieies and objectives
The objectives of the charity 8s per it's goveming documents are..
For the public benefit lo promote the education (including social and physical training) of people under the age of
21, in such ways as the Charity Trustees think fil, including by".
1. Delivering personal development and life skills training at schools and sports clubs which build confidenee,
resilience, motivation, ambition and communication skills.
2. Delivering opportunities for mentoring and work experience to the young people we serve, for as long as they
choose to remain connected lo Behind Every Kick.
In setting objectives and planning for activities, the Trustees have given due consideration to general guidance
published by the Charity Commission relating to public benefit, including the guidance 'Public benefit". running
charity IPB21'.
b. Activities undertaken to achieve objectives
The Charity undertakes to provide a model of infomal eduealion to ils beneficiaries through various partnerships
and initiatives further described under the achievements and performance section of this report.
c. Main activities undertaken to further the Charity's purposes for the public benefit
The Charity provides public benefit by providing programmes based on informal education lo beneficiaries under
the age of 21.

We continue to build on the understanding of our own purpose and v81ue to our beneficiaries and are proud to be
porting on the continued development and growth of our activity over the course of our 2023124 cycle.
We have continued lo focus on the ways in which our programme content and delivery models remain relevant
and accessible. We remain grateful to the continued support we ￿te1ve from teachers, sports coaches, funding
partnèrs and our expert sports psYchol(￿lSt network who are energised to work with us developing our
programme content. We are also indebted to those in our network who are increasingly motivated to provide the
young people on our programme with experiences that enhance their future career and employment Pathways.

The following highlights stand out, although this is not an exh8uslive list".
11 We continue to increase the number of young people coming into the Behind Every Kick programme through
requests from existing p8rtner schools and sports clubs to deliver the programme annually to a new cohort of
their young people. We have also benèfited from referrals within the school's network to work with new schools.
As part of our 2023124 Season, we partnered with The Harris Aeademy Tottenham, The Harris Aeademy St
Johns Wood, Harris Academy Willesden, Harris Academy Clapham, Six21, Haberdashers Knights Aeademy,
Haberdashers Cmyford Academy, Haberdashers Halch8m Academy.
21 Our partnership with EY Lane4 continues to thrive with more pro bono offers of expertise and guidanee from
across the EY business.
31 We delivered in person and online Behind Every Kick Connect sessions with corporate partners and we
continue to grow this offering as part of our 2024125 season, together with 8 p18n lo build on our network of
businesses and professionals who are willing to offer some of our programme graduate opportunities of work
and industry insight experiences.
41 In partnership with EY Lane4, we delivered our corporate t81ent development programme I'The Behind Every
Kick Clubhouse'l for 8 third year. This programme was delivered to 17 delegates from six different businesses
across a range of industry and professional sectors. The model is now well rooted in social impact whereby
Clubhouse subscribers donate to the charity for their place on the programme. Every donation funds up to five
young people who benefit from Behind Every Kick.
51 We h8ve continued to grow our social media presence p8rbcul8rly focusing on Inslagram and Linkedln and
predominantly around our fundraising campaigns and events.
61 We have benefitted from 8 range of fundraising inilialives, including The Big Give las selected by The
Childhood Trust for a sixth consecutive yearl", 8 fundraising Dinner held al Lords MCC with keynote speaker
Owen E8Stwood and attended by over 200 people," an inaugural Golf Day and for a third consecutive year, we
hosted our Behind Every Kick 5 -8-side Footb811 tournament in which 8 teams from across a range of
businesses took part in support of Behind Every Kick.
71 Consolidated on the work of our operations te8m which is ably supported by 8 volunteer.

It is intended that by this time next year, we will have".
Continued lo enhance our Board strengths and capabilities as well as creating an expert advisory group of
volunteers 'champions' lo ensure our ongoing commitment lo high performance, diversity, and the ability lo
draw on an increasingly broad range of expertise and experien￿.
Delivered our programme into a minimum of eight cohorts of young people across schools and Isports clubs.
Continued lo develop our Behind Every Kick Connect offering so that il is relevant & fil for purpose for our
young people, including working towards an increased number of summer work experience opportunities for
those young people who gfftduale from the first part of our programme, Behind Every Kick Development,
and engage with our Behind Every Kick Connect ne￿ork.
Continued to demonstrate the strength of our partnership with EYLane4 by offering Clubhouse 4.0 to a new
cadre of business talent.
Build on this year's fundraising Su￿sseS to deliver more fundraising events and partnership opportunities,
thereby building towards greater financial sustainability.
Continued to articulate our purpose and to be able lo demonslrale our impact.

Financial review
. Going concem
After making appropriate enquiries, the Trustees have a reasonable expectation that the Charity has adequate
resources to continue In operational existence for the foreseeable future. For this reason, they continue lo adopt
the going concern basis in preparing the financial stalemenls. Further details regarding the adoption of the going
concem basis can be found in the accounting policies.

b. Reserves policy
The Charity has not reached 8 Posltion where it is able lo instigate a specific reserves policy. The Trustees are in
the process of agreeing to the longer-term strategy for the Charity and will look to establish a reserves policy with
the aim of safeguarding the activities of the Charity into the future.
The Trustees have assessed the major risks to which the Charity is exposed and are satisfied that systems are
in place to miligale exposure to major risks.
c. Review of the period
During the year the Charity received donations of £142,904 12023. £81,69818nd total income was £173,374

Structure, govemance and management
a. Constitution
Behind Every Kick is 8 Charitsble Incorpomted Org8nisation, number 1177250, and is constituted under
Memorandum of Association dated 20th February 2018.
b. Methods of appointment or election of Trustees
New Trustees are 8ppointed by selection by the current Trustees of the charity by a simple majority vole. New
Trustees are selected to add their expertise or knowledge to the board of Trustees.

Statement of Trustees. responsibilities
The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, report and the financial statements in accordance with
applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards Iunited Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting
Practice).
The law applicable to charities in England & Wales requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for
each financial which give a true and fair view of the stale of affairs of the Charity and of its incoming resources
and application of resources, including its income and expenditure, for that period. In preparing these financial
statements, the Trustees are required to".
select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently.,
observe the methods and principles of the Charities SORP IFRS 1021",
make judgments and accounting estimates that are reasonable and prudent",
stale whether applicable UK Accounting Standards IFRS 1021 have been followed, subject lo any material
departures disclosed and explained in the financial stalemenls.,
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the
Charity will continue in business.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient lo show and explain
the Charity's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy al any time the financial position of the Charity
and enable them lo ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011, the Charity
(Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 and the provisions of the Memorandum of Association. They are also
responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Charity and hen￿ for taking reasonable steps for the prevention
and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of Behind Every Kick I'the Charity.)
I report to the charity Trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Charity for the year ended 31 August
2024.
Responsibilities and Basis of Report
As the Trustees of the Charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the
requirements of the Charities Act 2011 I'lhe 2011 ACYI.
I report in respect of my examination of the Charity's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and
in carrying out my examination I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under
section 14515llbl of the 2011 Act.
Independent Examiner's Statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no matters have come to my attention in connection with the
examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect".
8ccounting records were not kept in respect of the Charity as required by section 130 of the 2011 Act", or
the accounts do not accord with those records., or
the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements conceming the form and content of
accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regu18tions 2008 other than any requirement

I have no concerns and have come across no other mallers in connection with the examination to which

General information
Behind Every Kick is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation registered on 20th February 2018 in England
& Wales with charity registration number 1177250.
Accounting policies
2.1 Basis of preparation of financial ststements
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP IFRS 1021
Accounting and Reporting by Charities". Slalement of Recommended Practice applicable lo charities
preparing their accounts In accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK
and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 leffeclive 1 JanLJary 20191, the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 and the Charities Act 2011.
Behind Every Kick meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and liabilities
are Initially recognised al historical cost or transaction value unless otherwise slated in the relevant
accounb.ng policy.
2.2 Going concern
The Trustees have assessed the financial position al the period end and deemed that the Charity is a
going concern. This conclusion is formed as any shortfalls are kindly gLJaranteed by David Pollock. If
the shortfall is Ljnable to be covered then the Charity will reduce the number of sessions which it
provides to schools until more funding becomes available.
2.3 Income
All income is recognised once the Charity has entillemenl to the income, il is probable that the
income will be received and the amoLJnt of income receivable can be measured reliably.
2.4 Expenditure
Expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or constructive obligation to transfer economic benefit
to a third paty, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement and
the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is classified by activity. The costs
of each activity are made up of the total of direct costs and shared costs, Including support costs
inVo￿ed in undertaking each activity. Direct costs attributable lo a single activity are allocated directly
to that activity. Shared costs which contribute to more than one activity and support costs which are
not attributable lo a single activity are apportioned between those activities on a basis consistent with
the use of resoLJrces. Central staff costs are allocated on the basis of time spent, and depreciation
charges allocated on the portion of the asset's use.
Expenditure on raising funds includes all expenditure incurred by the Charity to raise funds for ils
charitable purposes and includes costs of 811 fundraising activities events and non-charitable trading.
Expenditure on charitable activities is incurred on direclly undertaking the activities which further the
Charity's objectives, as well as any associated support costs.
All expenditure is inclusive of irrecoverable VAT.

2.5 Cash at bank and in hand
Cash at bank and in hand includes cash and short-term highly liquid investments with a short maturity
of three months or less from the dale of acquisition or opening of the deposit or similar account.
2.6 Liabilities and provisions
Liabilities are recognised when there is an obligation al the Balan￿ sheet dale as a result of a past
event, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefit will be required in selllemenl, and the amount
of the selllement can be eslimaled reliably.
Liabilities are recognised at the amount that the Charity anlicipales il will pay lo sellle the debt or the
amount il has re￿iVed as advanced payments for the goods or setvices it musl provide.
Provisions are measured at the best estimate of the amounts required lo sellle the obligation. Where
the effect of the lime value of money is material, the provision is based on the present value of those
amounts, discounted at the pre-tax discount rale that reflects the risks specific to the liability. The
unwinding of the discount is recognised in the Statement of financial activities as a finan￿ cost.
2.7 Financial instruments
The Charity only has financial assets and financial liabilities of a kind that qualify as basic financial
instruments. Basic financial instruments are initially recognised at transaction value and subsequently
measured al their selllemenl value with the ex￿ptIOn of bank loans which are subsequently
measured al amortised cost using the effective interest method.
2.8 Fund accounting
General fvnds are unreslricled fvnds which are available for use at the discretion of the Trustees in
furtherance of the general objectives of the Charity and which have not been designated for other
purposes.
Restricted funds are funds which are to be used in accordan￿ with specific reslriclions imposed by
donors or which have been raised by the Charity for particular purposes. The costs of raising and
administering such funds are charged against the specific fund. The aim and use of each restricted
fund is set out in the notes lo the financial statements.
Investment income, gains and losses are allocated to the appropriate fvnd.
