Activities
Jacari's mission is to improve the confidence and English language skills of young people through our free tuition scheme. We work with those who have English as an additional language and are at risk of not achieving their full potential. We recruit and train volunteers tutors from the universities in Bristol and Oxford to provide this free 1:1 tuition to the young people referred to us.
Objects: To Advance The Education Of Children And Young People In The Vicinity Of Oxford And Bristol Who Do Not Speak English As Thir First Language And Are At Risk Of Failing To Achieve Their Academic Potential. To Do This By Increasing Their:language Ability And Other Academic Skills;general Confidence And Motivation; Andability To Engage And Contribute To School Life And Wider Community/society And Therefore Improving Their Conditions Of Life.
