From 1 January 2021 To

31 December 2021

Charity name: KindLink Foundation

Charity registration number: 1177210

Objectives and Activities

SORP reference
Summary of the purposes of
the charity as set out in its
governing document
Para 1.17 The promotion of the efficiency and
effectiveness of charities in relation
to their use of digital technology for the
benefit of the public by providing
software and through other means of
support.
Summary of the main
activities in relation to those
purposes for the public
benefit, in particular, the
activities, projects or services
identified in the accounts.
Para 1.17 and
1.19
The KindLink Foundation has continued to
provide free fundraising and
database software to a growing number of
charities, reaching over 2,300 at the end of
2021 - an annual increase of about 500 from
the previous year (in 2020, +500).
The charities could benefit from a suite of
tools meant to improve their collection of
online funds and communication with donors
and other stakeholders. In a year of
considerable difficulties for charities across
the UK, organisations using KindLink
Foundation’s fundraising platform raised
over £1,423,000 (+£200,000 compared with
the 2020 totall) through the KindLink online
platform.
Statement confirming
whether the trustees have
had regard to the guidance
issued by the Charity
Commission on public
benefit
Para 1.18 Having had regard to the guidance issued by
the Charity Commission on public benefit,
the trustees are satisfied with the main
activities carried out in 2021.

Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 During 2021, the trustees have focused their
work on two main areas of
activity:
1.
Ensuring continuous support to UK
charities through the provision of free
online software, the KindLink for
Charity Platform. At the end of 2021:
a.
More than 2,300 charities are
registered on the platform,
+500 from the end of 2020,
continuing the previous year
trend.
b.
Organisations using KindLink
raised over £1,423,000,
compared to £1,220,000 in
2020. This is a particulalry
important achievement in a
year when the whole charity
sector struggled with a
combination of increased
demand for their services and
lack of funding.
2.
Ensuring the Foundation has
financial stability over the long run.
a.
We increased the number of
Payroll Giving clients and has
have considerably increased
donations from private and
corporate donors, which we
have distributed in exchange
of a small management fee.
At the end of the year, our
charitable income had grown
almost +£100,000 from the
previous year, and we had
distributed just short of
£65,000, compared to
£30,000 in 2020.
b.
The covid-19 pandemic had
an impact on the day to day
activities of the KindLink
Foundation, but the
Foundation is still in a strong
position to deliver on its
charitable objectives.
