Para 1.20 | During 2020, the trustees have focused their work on two main areas of activity: 1. Ensuring continuous support to UK charities through the provision of free online software, the KindLink for Charity Platform. At the end of 2020: a. More than 1800 charities are registered on the platform, +500 from the end of 2019 b. Organisations using KindLink raised over £1,220,000, compared to £658,000 in 2019. This is a particulalry important achievement in a year when the whole charity sector struggled with a combination of increased demand for their services and lack of funding. 2. Ensuring the Foundation has financial stability over the long run. a. Building on the work carried out in 2018, the Foundation acquired its first Payroll Giving client and has continued acting as a donation distributor for private and corporate donors in exchange of a small management fee. b. The covid-19 pandemic had an impact on the day to day activities of the KindLink Foundation, but the Foundation is still in a strong position to deliver on its charitable objectives. |
