|The charity’s principal
sources of funds (including
any fundraising)|Para 1.47|The principal source of funding this year has
been regular monetary donations from within
the UK this year.|
|---|---|---|
|Investment policy and
objectives including any
social investment policy
adopted|Para 1.46|A key part of the fundraising strategy
continues to be from in-kind donations –
volunteer time and skills to leverage finance
from within Ghana itself.|
|A description of the principal
risks facing the charity|Para 1.46|The principal risk is the lack of personnel to
support the work in Ghana. Whilst there is
currently a small team in Ghana committed
to the vision of the project, the lack of
financial support is hampering the progress
towards delivery.
As the profile of the project increases in the
UK this is not being met with volunteer time,
and there is still insufficient funds to employ
staff. The trustees recognise the potential for
burn out of the volunteers and is looking at
contingencies to mitigate this.|
