The trustees present their report and accounts for the year ended 28[th] February 2022. The trustees have opted, under section 133 of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Charities Act’), to prepare receipts and payments account
Objectives and Aims
The charity's objects as set out in the charity's Trust Deed are to advance the Christian religion through the provision of worship and prayer gatherings primarily, but not exclusively, in Cornwall.
The strategies employed to achieve the charity’s aims and objectives are to organise extended worship gatherings, linking with local churches with a focus on spontaneous, spacious and prophetic worship.
Public benefit
The Trustees have considered the Charity Commission guidance on public benefit and consider that the activities of the charity meet its charitable objectives and provide a benefit to the public.
Volunteers
The charity relies on voluntary help for the organisation and running of its conferences. Over the past 12 months, over 30 volunteers have taken part in these sessions.
Achievement and Performance Charitable activities
Worshipping Friends’ hope and vision is to see people from all nations loving God on earth as it is in heaven, night and day, 24/7, practising the Greatest Commandment together with many coming to know the love of Jesus through the revelation of His love and glory.
2021 - 2022 was a fourth exciting and deepening year for Worshipping Friends as a registered charity. This year was a continued journey into His deep refining. In many ways our Worshipping Friends roots were laid bare, exposed as Holy Spirit revealed more aspects and facets of His worshippers moving together in His Kingdom ways, in Spirit and truth. Some of our highlights this year have included; Standing with local churches, prayer rooms and ministries in extended times of worship throughout the nation. Spending time with a local church youth group in extended times of worship. We took our worship gatherings outdoors and joined a bus mission around Cornwall. We gathered for 12 hours of worship in Bodmin as we praised and worshipped into the dawn of 31st Oct. We were back on the road again with a trip to Wales where Cornwall, Wales and Bristol worshippers joined together for 15 glorious hours ministering to His heart and responding to His leading. We had the honour of a time of teaching by Ray Hughes over zoom, Alabama to Cornwall and we spent time as worshippers and musicians from across the South West, exploring what it is to gather around His throne together.
In our fourth charity year (28th Feb to 28th Feb) we have covered more than 3370+ miles, devoted 322+ hrs, linking with 14 different churches and organisations of varying denominations to exalt and praise His Name together. It has been an honour to meet and worship God with church family from across the nation indoors and outdoors; encouraging one another to step out boldly in following His lead through creative praise offerings and gaining fresh revelation and perspective on corporate worship. As we have grown in Him this year, we feel a deep excitement for what will await us in 2022. To play our part in covering this nation in worship and prayer and seeing worship on earth as it is in heaven all for God’s glory.
