## **LYNEMOUTH RECREATION GROUND** ## **Charity Number 1177166** ## **ANNUAL REPORT** ## **1st APRIL 2021 - 31st MARCH 2022** The Trustees continue to run the the Recreation Ground building at Lynemouth for the use of the community with people being able to use the facilities as and when required for events, meetings and sporting events. AS in the previous year access to the facility was adversely affected by the Covid 10 Pandemic but activity that took place did so within the guidelines set by Government. In the previous year it was reported that the Trustees were actively seeking funding in order to invest in the Centre with plans for both the Centre itself and the Play Park within the Recreation Ground. These negotiations were successful and the Trustees received support from various organisations including Northumberland County Council, Lynemouth Parish Council, North of Tyne Combined Authority, the National Lottery CELL Big Local Fund and the Co-Operative towards major improvements and new equipment at the Play Park and towards internal refurbishment to the Pavilion including the installation of a new kitchen. These works are all in the course of delivery as at the Year End with completion due on both in Summer 2022.
