The Friends of Clare Mount Annual Trustee Report For the period 1st April 2024~ 31st March 2025 Introduction The Friends of Clare Mount is a re8lStered charity dedicated to supporting the sNdents and community of Clare Mount Specialist Sports College. The charity aims to enhance the educational experience of students by funding resources, activities, and opportunities that are not provided through standaTd school funding. Objectives and Activities During the financial year 2024-2025, the charity has continued its mission to support the school and its pupils. Our key objectives this year were to: Provide financial support for eXtracu￿1cu1ar activities, including sports and arts programs. Improv¢ school facilities by funding new equipment and resowces. Organise community events and fundraising initiatives to foster greater parental and local ¢ngagement. Support students with additional needs through specific interventions and funding. Achievements and Performance Fundraising #Dd Donations The Friends of Clare Mount success￿11Y organised vaTiOUS fundTaising activities throughout the year and received various grants, including: Danee Club- A grant was awarded to provide the school club with danc¢w¢ar outfits and a Blu¢tooth speaker, which meant they could practice with their own items which gave huge confidence Kenya Trip Fundraising- Donations Continued to be received through Just Giving with a small business making a single g¢nerous donation of £1735 to support the balance of the school trip to Kenya. Any excess monies will be used to help fund other school trip5. Through these events and individuaI donations. the charity Taised a totsl of £32,213 over the financial year. Funding Contributions The charity h&s made significant contributions to the school, including.. £560 to support the running of the minibuses for 5POrts and outdoor activiti￿, £9,000 for mental health and Ivellb¢ing initiative5, including staff training and student workshops as well as a funded counsellor for pupils £14,000 from ESC, allocated for resources and helping students and the local community engage in outside of school activities to improve health and inspire to e.rp.Ate.
