Introduction
The Friends of Clare Mount is a registered charity dedicated to supporting the students and community of Clare Mount Specialist Sports College. The charity aims to enhance the educational experience of students by funding resources, activities, and opportunities that are not provided through standard school funding.
Objectives and Activities
During the financial year 2023-2024, the charity has continued its mission to support the school and its pupils. Our key objectives this year were to:

Provide financial support for extracurricular activities, including sports and arts programs.

Improve school facilities by funding new equipment and resources.

Organise community events and fundraising initiatives to foster greater parental and local engagement.

Achievements and Performance
Fundraising and Donations
The Friends of Clare Mount successfully organised various fundraising activities throughout the year, including:

Summer Fair (July 2023) – Raised £ 1,350 through stalls, raffles, and activities.

Sponsored Colour Run (June 2023) – Engaged students and staff raising £569 .

Kenya Trip Fundraising – A significant initiative raising £20,000 through various activities and generous donations to support a school trip to Kenya.

Grant for Special Olympics in Greece – The charity received a £4,350 grant to support students attending the Special Olympics in Greece.
Through these events and individual donations, the charity raised a total of £30,518 over the financial year.
Funding Contributions
The charity has made significant contributions to the school, including:

£560 to support the running of the minibuses for sports and outdoor activities ,

£200 for mental health and wellbeing initiatives , including staff training and student workshops.

£20,000 allocated towards the Kenya trip , helping students gain invaluable international experience.

£4,350 allocated to the Special Olympics trip , supporting students representing the school in Greece.
Financial Review
The charity remains in a stable financial position, with an end-of-year balance of £19,424 to carry forward into the next financial year. Full accounts will be submitted to the Charity Commission in accordance with legal requirements.
