UK Heritage Aviation Trust Charitable incorporated Organisation Chairman’s Report for the year ending 31st March 2022

As we entered the spring 2022 we continued to push hard with our fundraising to save Handley Page Herald G-CEXP along with raising the profile of the charity. We were able to have a detailed survey carried out both externally and internally which showed she was in surprisingly good condition and very much worthy of saving and restoring.

Again 2021/2022 was focused on fundraising rather than expenditure and where money was needed to be spent the charity members paid for items themselves. Trustees and volunteers continued to donate their time for free and we will always endeavour to keep costs to a minimum thus turning a good proportion of the funds raised into looking after a future home and the collection within.

Projecting forward into 2022/23 we will push hard and continue to work towards being able to dismantle and rehome Herald G-CEXP currently at Gatwick Airport and raise funds not only for this task but also for her restoration.
