2020 ANNUAL REPORT
Sunderland Pride Centre is a charitable Incorporated organisation (CI)) registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. This report will consider Sunderland Prides Activities and important administrative information from February 1st 2020 to financial year end to 31st January 2021.

TRUSTEES REPORT
The Trustees present their Annual Report together with financial statements for the year ending 31st January 2020. The trustees confirm that the annual report and financial statements of the company comply with the current statutory 3 requirement, the requirement of the charities governing document, and the provision of the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) issued in March 2005.
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGMENT
The Charity is managed and administered bin accordance with the Charity's constitution by the trustees. Duly adopted on 8th February 2018. Appointment of charity trustees, apart from the first charities , must be appointed by resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the Charity's trustees. In selecting individuals for appointment as charity trustees, the charity trustees always have regard to skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the CIO. Polices adopted for the induction and training of trustees, we have access to the NCVO and Charity Commission website documents around good governance which trustees should make themselves familiar with.
DECISION MAKING
RISK MANAGEMENT
The charity is administered by the Board of Trustees who meet quarterly, Delegated authority within the constitutional government document is given for day-to-day decisions and general operations to be overseen by the chair of the charity.
The major risks faced by the charity have be reviewed and systems of orocedures have been established to manage those risks which include the task of monitoring financial control systems.

BACKGROUND AND HISTORY
Sunderland Pride Centre was founded in 2018, to become a safe space for LGBT+ people o meet and make new friends. We work closely with Sunderland LGBT+_ Network and partner with them for Sunderland Pride.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
"Working in partnership to celebrate diversity and promote equality for LGBT+ people, their friends, family and allies living and working in Sunderland, Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle upon Tyne and South Tyneside.
OUR VALUES ARE
We work for LGBT+ People in the North East - Everyone deserves the right to feel safe, and not live in fear of who they are, and how they identify.
PURPOSES AND OBJECTIVES
“Our charity's purposes are set out in the objects contained in the charity's constitution or to:
“To promote equality and diversity for the public benefit in particular the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity of those living in the North of England by:

Raising awareness and educate the public about the issues and difficulties affecting the lives of lesbian gay bisexual and transgender LGBT their families’ friends and supporters of the wild community as well as challenging homophobia transphobia at any negative attitudes and behaviour within society.

To collaborate with partners and organisations, public and private in developing initiatives that will enhance and safeguard LGBT+ people's live, ensuring their inclusion in all respects of life, and that of their attitudes and behaviour within society.

To promote social inclusion for the benefit of public by preventing LGBT+ people and allies from being socially excluded from society on the grounds of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Working in partnership to stage an annual LGBT+ festival and other small events including new regular social events for the LGBT+ community, held in a safe environment throughout the year.

To further any purpose which is charitable according to the law of England for the public for England and Wales for the public benefit as a trustee safe serve it from time to time.
We will review our aims, objectives and what we do each year, the review looks at what we have achieved and the outcomes for our work in the previous year. The review evaluated success of the projects we have provided, and the benefits they have brought to the people we have supported The review also helps us to ensure our aims, objectives, and the project remains focused on our stated purposes.
We have referred to the guidance content in the charity commission's general guidance on public benefit when reviewing our aims and objectives and when planning our future project delivery in particular the trustees consider how planned projects will contribute to the aims and objectives they have set.
Our focus for the year will be a promotional service available to LGBT+ people in the Northeast of England we will also continue providing train round hedge crime awareness.
The strategies we will use to meet these objectives or continue to include.
·promoting the need for the services, as well as challenge service to deliver on issues related to LGBT+ people.
·Focused upon raising awareness of LGBT+ issues under wider community.
·Providing specialist training to frontline agencies around LGBT awareness and hate crime.
Review of the reporting year and activities for achieving objectives .

This year we have been limited in our fundraising activities due to the coronavirus, but we ill endeavour to place more resources in place to address this.

The trustees will continue to uphold the charities values and strive to meet its objectives will promote investing training development and developing relationships with external agencies we will continue to campaign and raise awareness of her crime in all its forms highlighting the devastating impact on victims especially within our LGBT+ community.
FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
Final Review February 2020
We have received limited funding June 2020 to 2021 and we will address this in 2022. waiting the upcoming grant applications we have submitted.

RESERVES POLICY
Presently due to the amount of income we have this does not apply, but in future trustees will have considered the Charity Commission recommendations on retrospective holding funds for general use to meet shortfall in funding and be reflected in future financial statements .
RISK ASSESSMENT
The trustees of the Sunderland Pride Centre have considered whether there are any risks to the charity is exposed to as 31st January 2021. It is the opinion of the trustees that there's no significant material risk to which Sunderland Pride Centre is exposed.
STATEMENT TO THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE TRUSTEES
All of the only trustees are aware of their responsibilities (charities act in 1992 and 93 and subsequent amendments) collectively to keep proper accounting records, to ensure that anytime a statement can be produced showing the up=to-date position of the charity in respect of income and expenditure, assets and liabilities, and to produce a set of annual accounts according to the Reporting and Accounting Statement of the Recommended Practise 2005.
Trustees confirm that suitable practises policies are selected and have been applied constantly, observed methods of principles in the charities SORP and estimates reasonable and prudently prepared the financial statements on the ongoing concern unless it was inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in operation.
