(herein referred to as ANJUMANI for the period 2022 (0110112022- 3111212022).
We begin by that]king Allah SWT who is most merciful and tno%t benevolent, who%e tnercy tran%cend% in greater
degree and a%%urance than what we can comprehet]d.
Alhatndulillah 2022 saw life getting back to normal in most aspect and especially in our Ma%jid and Madre%%ah.
There wa% t]0 more social distat]cit]g or upheaval to our childrcn's educatiot]. We thank Allah SWT for his
infjnite mercy upot] n￿nknnd and we pray that we t]ever witnes% our Masajid% and Madressah% ever having to
clo8e agtun. Atuneen.
The Tn].%tees continue to work to maintain and manEkge the exi.%tlllg Ma%jid and Madres%ah proi'ision%.
Alhamdulillah there are n￿nY brothers it] our con]munity who provide much khidmat to the Ma%jid and
Madre8sah, tnay Allah SWT reward you all abut]dat]tly for this. Unfortunately, over the years we have seen a
decline in the number of our members actively joining the comnuttee or 8ub comnuttee%. There is much work
that is t]eeded in order for us to continue to see improvemet]ts and advancements across both fields, this is a
hujnble reque8t to all members to contribute in whatever capacity they can either it]dividually or becoming active
rnember% of the committee.
To Allah we belong and to Allah we %urely return. We a%k the Almighty to forgive those who have pa%sed away
frojn our JneJnber8 and cojnmunity and grant them Jannatul-Firdaus. Tho%e from our members and acro%s
hujnanity who may be ill or it] any form of difficulty, tnay the Altnighty grant them ea%e, shifaa (good health) and
a.%olution to all their problejns. Aameen.

Structure Ciovernance and Management
Governing document
At]juman was entered on the Register of Charitie8 on 08 February 2018 a Charitable Incorporated
Organisation (CIO) with the Charity Commi%sion under charity nutnber 1177057. It is governed by our
COll.%titution which wa% adopted on 15 October 2Ql7.
Organisational structure
The chEkrity tru.%tees are responsible for the general control and tnanagement of Anjutnan. The tnjstees give their
time freely and receive no remuneration or other financial bet]efits.
The trustee% Meet together as a body approximately every two Months and are re%pot]sible for all deci%ions taken
in relation to running the Ma8jid at]d the C0J￿nunitY facilities at]d the activitie% provided by Anjuman. To assi%t
in the 8Jnooth rnt]nit]g of the charity the trn8tees have set up a nujnber of %ub-comnuttee% that help them oi'er%ee
certain aspect8 of the charity's work. Sub-comnuttee% are currently 8et up for marriage. maintenance and funeral
provi%ion8. The sub-committees provide update8 when t]e£ded at the bi-jnonthly meeting of the tru%tee8. The day-
to-day leader%hip of prayers at]d religiou% worship and the management of the Madressah is delegated to %taff
with the appropriate %knll% and qualifications.
Recruitment and appointjnent of trustees
A8 per clause 13 of our con8titutiot] all tru.%tees 8hall retire from offjce at the fir8t Annual Get]eral Meetit]g of
At]juman. After this at every %ub%equent allnual general meeting one third of all trn8tees 8hall retire from offjce.
The vacancie8 frojn the first annual get]eral meeting and sub%equent annual genertd meeting% shall be filled by
the decision of metnbers pre%ent at the meetit]g. Any vacancies t]ot filled shall be it] accordance with clause 13.5
of our con%titutiot] and shtdl be the re%pon8ibility for the recruitment of new trn%tee8 but in so doing the trustees
seek the views and recomjnendations of both elders and community leaders. The tru.%tees believe this approach
en8ures that new trustees ate respected members of the faith and local conununitie8 and ensures that good
relatiot]s are fostered betweet] the Masjid and the people of the I￿al commut]ity that we 8erve.
In %electing new tru%tees, we %eek to identify people who regularly attend event% and function% organi%ed by the
charity and are willillg to volut]teer to help ill our broader cojnmunity work. Potential trustees are it]vited to
attend t￿Stees, meetit]g% a% ob%erver% and are givet] more detail% of the charity's aims and activities and. if ail
agree, they are then proposed a% new trustees at the sub%equent tru%tccs' meeting. Thi8 process allow% due
cot]sideration of the persot]'s eligibility, personal cojnpetence. %peciali%t knowledge and %kills.
Induction and training of trustees
Following appointjncnt, new trustees are introduced to their new role and given copies of Anju￿￿n'S con%titution
and a guide to the policies and procedure% adopted by our charity. Signposting to a t]umber of publicatiot]s from
the Charity Commi88ion i% also provided it]cludit]g the guidance on charities and public benefjt at]d on the
advancemet]t of religiot] for the public benefjt. Thi8 en%ures that t]ew trn8tee8 are aware of the 8cope of their
re%ponsibilities under the Charitie8 Act. It]itially, new trustees work with at] existit]g trustee as%istit]g on
particular activities and projects by the charity. After satisfactory feedback from existing tru8te£s, they are
thcn givcn thc task of leading a particular activity or projcct, rcporting progrcss at t￿stCcs, mcctings.
AffIliations
Alljuman ]% affiliated with the charity Indian Muslim Welfare Society IIMWS), charity registration nutnber
1067746, the umbrella organisation for the Masajid in the Batley area. Anjuman al%0 works clo%ely with the
other Masajid in the Batley area to en8ure we have a %hared at]d cot]si8tent approach (where appropriate) to our
activitie%, policies at]d procedure8. Thi% affiliation provide8 support and guidance to Anjumat], IMWS and the
supporting Ma%ajid in the area by havit]g a collective voice and a wider experti%e and 8kill set in order to carry
out the functions of Anjutnan.
This affiliation does not %tipulate requirement to endorse or agree to any deci%ion either n￿￿de by IMWS or the
a%8ociated Ma8ajid in the Batley region but where the trustees of Alljuman See fit to make the
endor%ementlagreetnent for the bettertnent of Anjuinan at]d the work it does, it will do so.

l.Objectives and activities
Our ain
Thc objccts of Anju￿￿￿ are set out in the charity's constitution and are sununarised as follows..
The adi'ancement of the trne Islamic faith by all Inean% cot]si%tent with the teachings of the Quran at]d Ahaadith
as interpreted by the Sunt]i Deobandi Hat]afi %chool of thought, and in particular by the provi%ion and
n￿intenance of Masjid (place of wor%hipl at]d Madre8sah (place of learning).
To carry out religious, educational. charitable, 8ocitd cohesion and welfare work a% determined by Anjutnan
within the principles of the Isltunic Faith a% described above.
Our objectives
Our objectives are set to reflect our faith and commut]ity aim%. The trustees review our objective8 and activities
to en%ure they cot]tit]ue to reflect our aims. In carryit]g out this review the trustee% have cot]sidered the Charity
Commi%sion's general guidance on public benefit and in particular its supplementary public guidat]ce ot] the
advancement of religion for the public benefit.
Our dual aim% of advancing the true l%lamic faith and providing religious, educational, charitable, %ocial
cohe%ion and welfare work is achieved by the provi8iot] and mait]tet]ance of Ma%jid {place of worship) and
Mtkdre8.%ah (place of learning). These two fout]dations of Anjuman provide the platform to 8upport our aim8 of
providing charitable, %ocial cohe%ion and welfare work which will be de%cribed it] more detail later within this
report.
Strategie5
We continue to ensure that provisions are in place for all worshippers of Islatnic faith whether tnember% of
At]juman or not to be able to fulfjl their religious duty within our Masjid. Thi8 include8 havit]g provi%ion for fjve
time prayers every day, et]suring we have at] effective Madres%ah systein in place that not only teaches our
children the principles of our religiot] but supports them it] beconung upstandit]g confjdent citizen% of our
commullity. We also ensure there are provi%ions for Islamic tnarriage and ￿neral for tnetnber% and nOn-￿￿MberS
of Anjuinan.
Our long term aim to support ￿rther conununity cohe8iot] and inter faith work either withit] the Ma8jid it8elf or
in partnership with one of the other Masajid in the Batley area. There i8 already excellent work taking place
within the Batley area and it is our aijn to enhance thi8 work rather than duplicate effort%.
At] important part of our faith is charitable giving, according to onc's wealth and in accordat]ce with Isltun. We
cot]tinue to work in partner.%hip with our affiliated partt]er8 namely IMWS to ellable members of our commut]ity
and tho8e vi%itit]g the Masjid to provide financial at]d non-fjnancial aid and support to not only those it] need
within our area but al%0 natjollally and internationally. The key achievements and charitie% supported thi% year
will be detailed later in this report.
Income Cieneration
Wc continue to pursue avenue% to generate Incon￿ for AZI.
Alhamdulillah through our two rental propertie% we have tnanged to bring in £6,996.04 income into our accounts
in the year ending 2022.
A8 we are now charity regi8tered, we can claim Gift Aid on the donation% we receive. This year we received
£13,596.2Q through Gift Aid from the HMRC.
These initiative% to ensure that we can meet the ever-increa%ing t]eeds of our Ma%jid and Madres%ah in the
current climate are pivotal and very welcotne sources of additional income.
Use of volunteers
Volunteers are the backbot]e of At]jutnan. It i% only with the help of all our local volunteer% and the grace of the
Aljnighty that we find our%elves it] a position of being able to contribute at]d make a differet]ce to our
commut]ity. Volut]teers are involved in both the effective runt]ing of the Masjid provisiot] as well as the effective
running of our Madressah systetn.

All our tru8te£s al80 give of their time freely. We encourage all meJnber% of our comjnunity to be involved in
voluntary activities and to Share their %kill8 with other%. All tho%e volunteer% worknng with project% involving
children or other vulnerable group8 are DBS checked.
The tru.%tees expres% a %pecial gratitude to all our members who contit]uou%ly work in supporting the Ma%jid and
MEkdre8.%ah in whatever way they can. Over the past years we have seen on more than one occasion, %peciai
comit]g together of our cotnmut]ity when the t]eed ari%e% to ensure the need% of the Ma%jid and Madres%ah are
alway% fulfilled.
2.Activities and Achievements
How our activities deliver public benefit
The charity carrie% out a wide range of activitie% in pursuance of its charitable aims. The trn%tee8 con%ider that
the.%e actii'ities, summarised below, provide bellefit both to those who wor%hip at our Masjid, learn withit] our
MtL%jid/Madre8sah 8y8tem and the wider community.
Religious ActiTrities
Oiir Masjid provides a centre for our prayers and worship and for the activities associated with our faith. During
the y&qr under review, we offered a rat]ge of religious services and activities including..
Prayers: The Masjid is open for the five daily prayers. The provision includes worship space, ablution (cleaning
rituall facilitie% and a suitably qualified In￿rn to leader the prayer%.
Ran]adhan: The Ma%jid is open for longer periods during the month of Ramadhan. Facilitie% are in place to
accomjnodate the it]crease of worshippers it] this holy mot]th. There are facilities for wor8hippers who wish to
open their fast at the Ma%jid before Ma￿)rib prayer% and extended opening time% to acComm￿ate the n1￿]t
prayers.
Funeral facilities: The Ma%jid was able to support funerals within the parameter% of Covid restrictions.
Islamic Marriage - Nikkah: The Ma%jid wa% able to support NiLqh ceremonie% within the paratneter% of Covid
restrictions.
Adult classes: We have a number of specific adult courses that we offer not only to metnbers but to anyone that
n￿Y wi8h to join..
Al-Fajr Academy 1% a well-e%tablished course during the day on a full time basi% and has been rnnning for
nujnber of years.
Wc have well established Sanatayn courses for both n￿leS and fen￿leS that run over two years.
Wc continuc to run thc Islamic cla%sc% run spccifically for si%tcr% cvcry s[￿daY morning.
Wc offcr tajwccd classcs for anyonc on a S[￿daY morning in in thc Masjid.
In Sept 2022 we started boys and girl% Advance cltLs%es covering, Quran, Tafsir, Ahadeeth, Aqaid, Fiqh
contemporary is%ue%. This is targeted for children 13+ and ]% delivered 90 minute% three times a week.
We encourage all our me￿￿erS who want to participate to enrol and benefit from these cla%%e%.
Islamic Awareness: Alhtundulillah with re8trictions easing we were once again able to look at keynote lecturers
and cvellt% to bcncfjt our community and wider.

A sUmn￿ry of the key event%/progratnme% held in 2022..
A get together event hosted by Taylor Street Outreach Teatn, Ma%jid Wali Jatnaat and Tru%tee% in Feb 20"
Provided an opportunity to get together and catch up with people we not have %een for a while and get
clo8er to Ma8jid. It wa% al80 an opportunity for brothers from the outreach team to Con￿ together to discus% what
need% to be done for our area. Approximately 8a people attended.
A special progrtunme was held led by our e%teetned Imatn Hadhrat Mufti Musa Badat Sahib on the significan(
and ijnportance of Shab-e-Barat.
A Que8tiot] and At]swer se88ion was held with Mufti Ha%%an Mota Sahib just before Ramadhan on the virtui
and iJnporLqnce of R￿n￿dhan.
A% there wa8 a high t]umber of individuals going for Umrah in Ran￿dhan we held a Unuah workshop i
R￿n￿dhan led by Mufti Ha%8an Mota Sahib.
Wc hcld two spccific programmc% for si%ters in Ramadhan.
Members from our commut]ity organi%ed food for everyot]e every weekend in Rtunadhan after Tarawee prayer
There wa% no Jnoney taking frojn the Masjid or Madre8sah accounts, it was all donated generously by n￿mberS
of our commut]ity. This wa% a wot]derful occa8ion for everyone to get together old and yout]g.
We were lucky enough to ho%t Jamaats from Canada. Denmark, Malaysia at]d a Masturat Jamaat from Indi
Brother.% from the Ma8jid Wtdi lamaat Jnade treJnendou% effort to look after our guests.
A %ummcr Joi￿ was hcld for thc youngstcrs of our locality.
The annual Batley Hail, un￿ab and Ziyarah Work%hop wa% once again held in our Ma%jid for all I
BatleylDewsbury.
pecial progratnme was held regarding the day of Ar&qfah and the last ten days of Zul Hiiia and i
signifjcance and importance. Thi8 was led by Qari Saeed Makda Sahib.
It] Scptcmbcr ivc arrangcd a spccial cN'cning of Naat and Na%hccd lcd by thc world rcnoivncd Hafiz Abubakcr.
We were blessed to hold Al-Fajr% 3rd Bukhati Khattam. This wa8 very well attended by people coming from E
acros% BatleylDewsbury and ￿rther afield. Special guest in attet]dat]ce wa% Mufti Umar Farooq Sahib.
We also held the mcn's Sat]atayn graduation ceretnony in July where 8 brother% graduated and held the fir
si%ter8 Sanatayn graduation ceremony in October.
We invited Mufti Mahjnood Bardoli Sahibb in October who illuminated us with hi% words of wi%dom ar
graced us with his pre8ence.
Salatul KILsuf was hcld in Octobcr in our Masjid.
We ho%ted the Seerat Ul Mu%tafa event it] October, gue%t %peaker Mouaiana Abdur Raheem Hafizahullah shar(
hi8 words of wi8dom with us and we were ble%8ed with Quran recitation by Qari Yusuf El Badar.
Wc had thc opportunity to host Rabctah's Annual Gcncral Mccting oncc again in oiir Ma%jid.
We held a youngsters jour in December where Moulana Farooq Sahib wa8 ini'ited to share word% <
encouragement at]d advice for the effort of Deen.

Madressah
It is with great pleasure I present my report and brief review of the year for our Madre%sah.
Alhamdulillah. our Madre8sah continues to progre%% well under the guidance and %upervision of Hadhrat Mufti
Musa Badat Sahib (Hafizahullah).
We continue to engage with the children and parents at every opportunity. We hold parent's evening twice a year
and we encourage all parent8 to attend both events to ensure we cat] %upport the children in the be%t way
po%sible. We al%0 have regular meeting%/interactions with parents whet] needed.
We held a t]umber of interactive %es%ion8 with the children as well at]d regular asseJnblie8 throughout the year
with gue%t speaker% whet] appropriate. Our Mufti Mu%a Badat Sahib vi8ited our advance cla%s in Madres%ah to
provide words of wi8dom and encouragement which the 8tudents greatly appreciated.
Our Mufti Hassan Mota Sahib led a workshop on burial and its right% and ritual% and the %ame wa% done by an
extcrnal Appa on thc girl's sidc.
In order to for the children to engage more with each other at]d to teach the importat]ce of caring for one another,
the children bought items from hojne and made hot chocolate it] the Madre.%sah with their teacher% in order to
serve their fellow studet]t%. Thi8 was very well received at]d taught an important les8on about caring for others.
We held our Allnual Boy8 and Girls Anllual Jal%a'% in July, where Qiraat, Na8heed%, speeche% and pre%entations
were delivered. The Jal8a was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achiei'ements of the children. Our gue%t
speaker was Moulat]a Sulemat] Raja Sahib.
We held an interactive se%sion for parents and members of our community. A practical demonstration was
delivered between the teacher at]d 8tudents to %how how they are taught. Thi% wa% very well received, at]d a
number of parents and member% of the conununity conunented how infortnative it was.
An a%setnbly was organi%ed for parent% and metnbers of the community with the then￿ being Seerah. Our
children organised %everal %peeche% and recitation of poems and food frotn the time of our Prophet Muhanuned
SAW wa8 %howctLsed.
We had guest from South Africa attended the Madressah. Some of the idea% shared at the meeting are now being
implemented in Madrasah
Our Hafiz %tudents once again led Tarawee prayers in the Madre%sah. Our students %ucces%fully %upported the
kidz4kidz it]itiative where donations were collected for les% privileged children in Albania.
Plans Moving fonvard will be to get our student% to engage more with community work so they appreciate, va]ue
and contribute back to society.

Buildings Maintenance and tmprovements
Alhamdulillah as prei'iously stated Allah SWT has bles%ed us with acce%sible facilitie% in order for u% to ￿lFIl
our religious obligation8 and contit]ually work to improve our Imaat].
Managing a nujnber of building% in our %ociety there is alway% an on-going t]eed to ensure that the facilitie% are
safe alld well mait]tait]ed. The trustee% continue% to et]sure that any deficiencies in the building's and facilities
are rectified %oon as po%%ible always en8uring we are tnindful of the money spent.
This year, Alban￿Ul11lah sotne of the key work done is listed below..
In the girls Madre8sah we changed the light8 in girls to LED, this is much tnore energy efficient, we also changed
all the tap% as some were beginning to leak.
In the boy% Madressah we fixed the slate% on the roof which had either moved out of place or had broken and
also installed ridge% along the entire roof to further weather proof it.
In the Masjid we changed all the taps in the Wudhu Khana as the old tap% had becotne very difficult to open and
clo8e due to wear and tear over the years, we al80 in%talled 8en8or light% in the toilet8 as we had noticed that on a
nujnber of occasions the light8 were kept on even when not it] use. The set]sors will help us en%ure that we are
not wa8ting any Jnoney with light8 being kept on. We td%0 changed the outside floodlight% at the back of the
Masjid to LED to provide better lighting and et]sure we keep our cost% do￿l.
Alhatndulillah the window work has also %tarted.
New Windows Project
A8 mo%t members will be aware we have had long out%tanding i8sues with the window% of our Masjid leakit]g,
this i% due to general wear and tear, the length of titne we have had them installed and the fr￿ne5 bowing which
ha8 cau8ed the leaks.
Alhamdulillah after a long delay due to unfore%een circutn%tance% out of our control the work %tarted in
December 2022.
A8 you can imagine the project i% a long-cojnplicated project with variou% is%ue% to con%ider. We are hoping to
have the project completed before Ratnadhan 2023.
We that]k all tho8e who have contributed toward8 the project and n￿de dua and we a%k you to continue maknng
the dua that the project is cotnpleted without any is%ue%.
Welfare Work
Our Ma%jid continues to provide outreach, %upport, and welfare work withit] the community in the form of hou%e
vi8it% to those who are elderly, vulnerable, young and sick or tho8e that we may not have 8eet] in the commullity
for a while.
These visits are carried about by our volunteers who dedicate their own titne to ensure that one and all in our
commut]ity are looked out for and their need% identified. They provide at]y appropriate support and give any
nece%%ary guidance or advice that ]% required.
Taylor Street Outreach Team
Our Masjid ha% always provided outreach, 8upport and welfare work within the community in the form of house
vi8it% to those who are elderly, vulnerable, young and sick or tho%e that we may not have seen in the cotnmunity
for a while.
Early on in the pandenuc our i'olunteer% led by Jnember% of our'masjid Wali Jan￿at, got together to ensure that
the mo8t vulnerable of our comjnuniiy are not forgottet].
Taylor Street Outreach Team {TSOTI was e%tablished, in respon%e to the pandemic to provide outreach and
welfare support for f￿nille* living ill the Taylor Street and %urrounding areas.
All work has been carried out by volunteers from our cotntnunity.

TSOT cot]tit]ues to operate and offer assi%tance to member% and non-metnbers not only in our cotntnunity but
further afield if needed.
