THE NATASHAS PROJECT ANNUAL REPORT For the year ended 28 February 2025 Legal and Administrative Informatlon The Natashas Project ITNPI was founded in 2013. It has been a registered charity, number 1176994. since 5 February 2018 and the address for correspondence is 2 Fensomes Close, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire HP2 50H or e-mail info@thenatashaprojecl.co.uk. Its governing document is its Constitution. ObjectslPrinclpal A¢tlvltles Vision.. Dancing in and For Freedom Mission.. We use dance as a powerful tool lo address the impact of modern slavery. Our interactive dance experiences connect hearts, restore hope and inspire change. We do il for survivors and the children of tomorrow, because we believe in a future where everybody lives in freedom, and people dance only for joy We currently work out this mission in three ways'.- Performance Productions.. TNP gives professional dance productions that raise awareness through informing audiences on the effects and realities of modern slavery. The performances aim to instigate and empower change, by taking audiences through a journey of lost innocence, 21st century slavery. and how this injustice still affects every single soclety throughout the world today and what people can do to make a difference. Education workshops.. TNP has audience tailored workshops that have been created to inform, equip and inspire students and participants lo take ownership of instances of human trafficking in their own communities and engage in conversations about safe relationships. Restorative dance workshops for SuNivors'. The third branch works with survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking, through its Restorative Dance Workshops. These are fun, creative workshops which aim to develop confidence, self-osteem, physical fitness and ownership of survivors, bodies. Organisation TNP is governed by the Board of Trustees which is responsible for all aspects of the organisation that affect this UK-based Charity. During the year ended 28 February 2025, the Board of Trustees was made up as follows.. Tirn Withers - Chair (appointed August 2024) Sophie Smyth - Secretary Sharon Green- Trustee Sharon Sexton - Treasurer (appointed May 2024) Jim Treherne - Chair (resigned August 2024) The Trustees may appoint new trustees throughout Ihe year. THE NATASHAS PROJECT Revlew of Activities Restorative branch.. TNP conlinued to provide tailor-made dance workshops to support survivors of human trafficking and modern slavery. Grants were received from the National Lottery and Souter Charitable Trust lotalling £21,975 to fund Ihese Restoralive workshops. A grant was also received from Stewardship Services to fund an Operations Manager. Flnanclal Revlew The overall resull for the year was a surplus of £7.750 compared with a deficit of £5,920 the previous year. Reserves TNP aims to maintain funds of at least £2,000 so that il is able lo enter into contracls to hire performance venues and commit to other expenditure for the following year. Risk Management The Board of Trustees has examined the principal areas of the Charity's operations and considered what major risks may arise in each Of these areas. In the opinion of the Board of Trustees, the Charity has established resources and review systems which, under normal conditions, should allow the risks identified by them to be mitigated to an acceptable level in its day to day operations. The Charlty has appropriate risk mitigation measures in pla including policies and training on the following.. Working with vulnerable groups - particularly sutvivors of human Irafficking First Aid The Charity ensures all volunteers and staff have up to date DBS checks prlor to working with children or vulnerable adults Pollcles TNP has the followlng policies to govern ils operational acllvitSes and these are reviewed on an agreed timeline, either annual or bi-annual. I report in respect of my examination of the TrLtsl's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145151{b) of the Act. Independent examiner's statement I have completed my examination.
