North Shiekls, Tyne & Wear, NE29 ORJ Governance A Charitable Incorporated Organisation (COI) governed by a Trustee's constitutional agreement Tru8tse8 Samantha Jackson - Treasurerrrrustee Karen Corder- Chairmanrrrustee Jayne Muir - Secretarytrrustee Karen pri￿ - Trustee Our Purpose and Public Benefrt For the benefit of the public to relieve the suffering of guinea pigs in need of care and attention and, in particular, to provide and maintain rescue homes or other facilities for the reception, care and treatment of such guinea pigs; To promote humane behaviour towards guinea pigs bred or owned as pets by providing appropriate care, protection, treatment and security for those which are in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill usage and to educate the public in matters pertaining to the care of such animals. Achievements We took in 81 Guinea Pigs Rehomed 70 guinea pigs - ensuring our adoption policy was met on each adoption and advising on appropriate ongoing care. We now have 22 Guinea Pigs with Sanctuary status and a pennanent home with Gertie's - This is where due to age or medical condition they are unable

to be rehomed. Some are at the rescue and others are in long term foster pla￿Ment. Communication We have continued to develop our website- which contsins a lot of information about us, what we do and how to contact us. We have now had over 48,000 hits on the site. We continue to maintain a Facebook Page and Group to support people who have adopted from Gertie's, raise awareness of our charity and work, fund raise and to support all guinea pig owners. We have Facebook, Twitter and an Instagram Accounts to further our media impact Post adoption we support owners via phone and messenger which takes up a lot of our time. Had a great 6th birthday event Risks Considered General Data Protection Regulation Reviewed our major risks and reviewed our Privacy policy to meet with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Reviewed our storage of data. Funding We almost ran out of funds at one point this financial year, and had to appeal for donations in order to keep afloat. We now need to ensure we maintain a balan￿ of funds that allow for at least 6 months running costs in hand.

Accounts Our Annual Accounts have been compiled cross checked and signed off by the Trustees. Income Total Income £23,358 Our income came from 5 sour￿5 Donation8 - All donations have come in the main from Gertie's Supporters and adopters. We are very lucky to have a core of faithful and generous supporters without whom we would not be able to stay afloat. Glve As you IlvelAmazon Smlle Raised £644- We promote the use of Give As You Live when people buy goods online. If they go through this site we get a small donation without increasing the cost to the purchaser- same with Amazon Smile. Our supporters are great shoppers! Unfortunately Amazon Smile has now stopped this scheme. PayPal Giving Fund £423 arrived via this Fa￿book based fundraising. This is where people can pick our charity and raise funds for their birthdays etc. This also includes funds raised where people choose us as their charity on Ebay, make an Ebay sale in our benefit and via other associated companies. Other Schemes £1,195 This is where we have been chosen by an employee to have part of a grant from the company they work for. Gift Aid £3,795- This was 2 years of claim for HMRC where donations attracted gift aid. Expenditure Our expenditure was £18,351

Vet Fee3 £5,234 was made up of professional medical care for sick guinea pigs and our neutering program where boars who fail to bond with other boars are neutered to find a home with females. A massive thank you to First Vets and in particular Judith who always gives ourguinea pigs the greatest carn andputs herself out for us. Treaknents £449- Made up of treatrnents for mites and fungal infections etc. Guinea Plg Supplies £9,129 this consists of items that are used in daily care and wellbeing of the guinea pigs such as - vegetables, hay, bedding, pellets and cleaning products. Equipment £893 This is items that have multiple use like cages, pens, tables, correx, bridges, hideys etc. Also a humidifier to keep damp from the Guinea pig room. MedialAdverti8inglFundralsing £2,228 - This is our website host and hardcopy media like posters, leaflets and business cards. Also for hosting events and associated costs Sundries and Postage £348 this is everything else - such as ststs'onery, postage and general use items. PayPal Fees Fees for using PayPal - £62 Travel £8 Fees for Tyne Tunnel - Picking up and dropping off Guinea Pigs Our closing balance as at 31 January 2023 was £6,486

Conclusion Our biggest asset remains our loyal and generous supporters - Without whose support and donation's Gertie's Lonely Guinea Pig Rescue would not be able to function.
