and background to benefit the charity.
OveNlew
Sponsor a Sibling founded in 2016, originally registered as charity number 1176130. IAII assets and
funds transferred to Sponsor a Sibling incorporated 1176912 on I" February 20181 has had a
successful year despite a global pandemic and is continL%ing to thrive.
2020 has proved challenEin8 to everybody especially in the charity sector. however, we feel we have
positively rearted in this difficult time and continued to show our Super siblings how amazing they
are and make their time in isolation a little easiér.
We have pride in the fact that Sponsor a Sibling continues to be managed in a successful, well
organi5ed way with thanks to the trustees who show continued dedication and commitment to
achieve our obje¢tives. This is reflerted in the Browth of the charity financially and by the activities
carried out and how Sponsor a Sibling adapted where needed during the Corona virus crisis.
Oblertlve
The objectives of the charity are as deftnÈd in the constitution to offer the relief of siblings of
children with life limited or life threatening conditions and also bereaved sibltngs throu8hout
England, Ireland, kotland and Wales by providing in pèrticular but not exclusively a Sift which will
boost morale and offer support and encoLEragement and keepsakes and holidays.
ActiviknÈ$
Sponsor a Sibling offer a range of services whith contribute to achieve our objective as detailed
above.
Following conversations with families and fèedback received the trustees continually re assess thè
services we provide and determine that we are abiding by our duties as tru5tee5 of carrying out
these services with the duty to have regard to the regulations provided by the charity commission
ensuring we continue to meet requirements for public benefit.

From originally offerlng just our nominated sibling gift packs, we have grown to include hospital
packs, bereavement pack5, awards and much needed family holidays in our'siblings caravan,.
We also offer seasonal packs for holidays and Christmas times when available.
Achlevements
Now in its Fourth year, (third year as a registered charity) Sponsor a sibling has continued to grow at
a steady pace and provide the much needed services to the siblSn6s of children with life limiting or
life threatening conditions and also bereaved siblings.
Sponsor a Sibling has been recognised in both national and local media sources and Laura also
received a points of light award from Teresa May forthe work that sponsor a sibling carries out.
We continue to offer the same services, glft packs. 3ward5, hosp¥tal packs. keepsake packs and
family holidays alorsg with seasonal gifts as and when possible. We continue to reteive phenomenal
feedback from families and the smiles on the sibling's faces show how much a small gesture can go a
long way.
We had to temporarily rfrevaluate our services during the covid pandemic and due to an amazing
funding opportunity from The HM Government in partnership with The National Lottery Ftjnd. We
were able to send out weekly gift packs to 40 Sibling5 to help wlth their mental health and give them
a treat during shielding. Some of these gifts included digital cameras. tie die kits, and many more
exciting goodies.
Sadly for all of 2020 our caravan was Out of use. National lockdown5 meant the site remained closed
and upon reopening we were all heartbroken to discover a leak had rulned the bathroom floor
deeming it unsafe for use. Due to the hard work of our wonderful supporters over the years, we
were able to action repair5 and with the help of a wonderful local compallyi we now have a fully
funttional wet room. Something which will make taking a holiday so much more user friendly to our
families.
Fundraising this year was challengin& with nearly half the year spent in lockdown we had no
opportunity to attend the various functions we would usually do. We did however have some
incredible fundraising efforts from some wonderful people who dyed their hair, took part in epSc
bike rides and a fabulou5 effort from Eoghan and Willis Tower Watson with a sponsored hair design
resijlting in Eoghan's Mohican hair cutl
A5 previotjsly, our bi88e5t finantial reswnsibility is the costs associated with our caravan Én order to
enable us to continL¢e providing holidays. With the generosity from 52 lives along with some kind
donations we are pleased to report we can continue to provide much needed free of charge holidays
to our Super Sibling5 and their families. We know how much these small breaks mean to our families
to spend time together and know after the pandemic, it wi51 be needed more than ever.

Flnancial Review
Thanks to our corporate partnerships and the dedication of our fundraisers, Swnsor a sibling has
had a highly successful year financially despite experiencing a global pandemic.
Funds rÈcÈived in this ￿riod have beon made up mainly of unrestrirted gr3nts. fundraisino and
donations, including the few payments received from caravan deposits.
Although we do not hold any reserves or a reseNes policy for the time bein& we feel we have
sufficient funds available for us to continue to comfortably meet our objective.
We receNe 'Gifts in kind. in the form of items requested via our amazon wish list along and for the
period accoLtnted thls amounted to £1,386. The amazon gifts are what enable us to supply our
sibling 8ift packs and we use funds raised to top up where needed.
We continue to Use the Just Giving platform glvlng supporters a trusted slte to fundralse or donate
through and in Alkgust 2018 set up the Facebook donation service which has enabled us to receive
additional funds and proved a positive benefit to the charity.
Due to the dedication of our corporate partners back in 2019 we were able to pay off the remaining
balance of our 81ack Horse loan which provided our caravan finance. Paid off in full after 19 months
of a 5 year agreement was a very positive outcome and we can now concentrate on building our
reserves up to ensure we are in the best possible position financially for the fLItu￿ along with our
current fundraising mission to purchase a second caravan.
Sponsor a Siblin8 are excited to be entering another year thriving and would like to take thls
opportunity to thank all the trustees, supporters and families who have been involved with the
charlty to date for their continued support. Without the help of others this would not be possible.
Signed on behalf of charitvs trustees-.
