Sarratt & Chlpperfield Community Foundation
Annual Review of SCCF - 2023
SCCF In the Parish of Chipperfield and Sarratt -
The year with SCCF'S already well established communlty Outreach continuing on
from 2022.
Projects in the Community:
POP UP COMMUNITY CAFE
The community Cafe Is a monthly Cafe held in the Sarratt Village hall and
continues to attract a good number of local people and visitors to the area. The
atmosphere of welcome and affordability to the retlred section of the community
has made it a very popular place to be once on a Monday. It is run by volunteers.
It can be described as a community hub with regular familiar faces coming each
month.
The local Community Police have been joinlng in and this has been really
aPp￿clated by the visitors.
The Cafe was registered as a Warm Space . This inltlative has continued through
winter although people attending just to be warm were few.
SCCF - owns and updates{ weekly) the Parish website, this is a plattonn for news
and advertising. The advertising revenue goes straight to SCCF to be used in the
community where needed.
SCCF - Also maintains and updates the SCCF Charlty website regularly.
SCCF - Community Care Alarms
This is to support the most vulnerable in their homes and helps by paying all the costs
for having a care alarm in the home This initiative is in partnership with the Sarratt
Parish Council. It works very well and Ihe recipients are very grateful for the support
financially and practically. It literally is a lifesaver for some residents in the Parish. Sadly

a go¢xI number of the reCiP￿nIS using Ihis outreach have died and SCCF currentty
supports three seNice usefs. We have advertised and made it known locally there is
support in this way.
SCCF - Chlld Play Therapy In the Parlsh Schools
Both the Chippetheld and Sarratt primary schools have continued to benefit from the
financial support of SCCF to be able to fund a child therapist who works mainly in
groups of four and also one lo one. The parents and both schools report how much this
extra support has benefitted many children since its inception.
2023 - Year of the Kings Coronation
SCCF was the lead in creating a Parish Platlnum party on the village green.
All of the costs were covered by SCCF and the whole day was planned by SCCF.
It was a huge success supported by the local community of all ages. The whole day was
great fun with a dog show, scouts skills, children's races, tug of war, picnics and cake
Competition, fancy dress for the children.
Chipperfield Vlllage Kings Coronation
SCCF was able to grant a gifl of funds to help with the arranging ofwhat was a great
community event for all.
SCCF - Communlty Garden - work started in the first lockdown and since then the
garden has flourished with a good group of volunteers helping from the local
community. In 2023 Ihe garden continued to supply the community store with fresh
vegetables, salads and flowers. A Cafe was opened and SCCF has continued to make
funds available when needed.
KGV Park and playing fields
SCCF has been part of an ongoing group to bring to fruition a brand new playground
for children aged toddler to teenager. The project has seen good support and now has
been fully installed much to the joy of the children and their families in the Parish. This
was an enormous project that has taken nearly three years from the first thought to final
opening. It has been very well received indeed.
