Objectives and activities
To further or benefit the residents of Bilb￿oUgh, Nottingham and the neighbourhood
without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other
opinions by asscciating tQ3ether the said residents and the Iccal authorrties,
voluntary and other organisations in a common effcrt to advance education and to
provide f&ilities in the interest of s¢xial welfare for r￿reatiOn and leisure time
occupation with the obl￿tIVe of improving the conditions of lrfe f￿ the residents.
In furtherance of these objerls but not otherwise, the Twstees shall have power: to
establish or secure the establishment of a community centre and to maintain or
manage or c¢>operate with any statutory authority in the maintenance or
management of such a centre for activities promoted by th8 charity in furtherance of
the above objects.
Summary of the main activlties undertaken for the public benefit
We run &tivities f¢J the I￿al$ from, summer play dates to Christmas fairs. This
enables local members of community to take part in experiences that might
otherwise not be financially available to them. We also have a gardening group that
takes care of the grounds and offws planting opportunities during spring and
summer to I￿21 families. They can either plant in the garden or choose to take the
plants home. We also have a lot of organisations that use the cenlre who help locals
with their health, fitness and mental wellbeing.
A lot of the things we offer are free. so cost nothing for I(￿81$. We also provide a
warm meal during our events to try and help with the ci%t of living crisis. Our events
help with the mental wellbeing of the ILKals, encouraging them to socialise with
others in the community. Our events also encourage networking with other
organisations who can come and speak to families about the services they offer. We
also try and put on activities that families might not be able to take part in otherwise
for example football. Graft activities, visiting Santa, Easter bunny and baking.
Public benefit statement
The Truslees confirm that they have complied with the duty in section 17 of the
Charities Acl 2011 to have due regard to the Charity Commission's general guidance

Summary of the maln achievements durlng the period
We have a regular karate group that has a regular attendance of 60+ people of all
ages. as well as a small local martial arts instructor.
We hold annual events fly Easter. At this event we do a free Easter hunt where
children can win an egg and a book. We also do a light brunch at a small cckst. We
put out craft activities and a variety of toys for all ages to enjoy.
August play dates include craft activates, toys and a reading Corner. We also work
with the National Literacy Trust who provide books and postcards for free books for
families. We also try and do a main activity like baking or teddy bears picnic.
Macmillan event locals bake cakes to sell to raise money for Macmillan cancer
research. The centre provides the tea and ¢(￿fee for these events and all proceeds
go to the charity. At the Halloween event we run a best cctstume competition, we sell
food at a low cost and provide a disco wth games. We also invite local services like
football and scouts to promote their services and let children tak8 part in som8
activities. Christmas Markets is when local businesses can have a stall and sell
Christmas gifts or sweets. We also have low cost rides f(Y young children and we
work wth the local church for them to sell items from their craft and knitting group.
We have a Santa grotto were families can get a visit with Sanla and small toy at low
cost. We also do some carol singing in the garden that everyone is welcome to join.
Our centre is also host to smaller groups like bike wise. health and wellbeing groups.
writing group and youth groups. We also have more social prescribers using the
centre as well as NHS teams to help the local community with rehabilitation following
injury.
Financial review
The centre itself is keeping afloat and are in a good position finance wise.
The charity's pollcy on reservés
The centre has a reserve pot that will only being used should the centre ever need to
close and we can pay off all bills. This pot can also be used to cover any maj(
repairs we come across in the future, that is agreed by the Trustees.

At this period in time the cenlre is well run and in a postion, we have our reserve
fund so should any risks come around we can mitigate these issues as the arise

I repcfft to the trustees on my examinats'on of the accounts of Bilborough Community
Asscciation (the charty) for the year ended 31 March 2025.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts
in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act,).
I report in respect of my examination of the charity's accounts carried ¢￿t under
section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have fdlowed all
the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of
the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no matters have come to my
attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any
material respect:
1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by
section 130 of the Act. or
2. the &counts do not accord with those records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection wth the
examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a
proper understandinp of the accounts to be reached.

During the year, Sharon Wynne, who is the mother of Trustee Stacey Wynne,
was employed as a cleaner and was paid £8,357.
