## **Trustees’ Annual Report** 

## **Objectives:** 

The charity’s primary objective is to advance the Islamic religion in the United Kingdom for the benefit of the public, with particular focus on the Kurdish community. This is achieved through prayer 

meetings, lectures, public celebration of religious festivals, producing and distributing Islamic literature, and supporting mosques, madrassas, and preachers. The charity also works to promote religious and racial harmony by educating the public about different beliefs and cultures, encouraging mutual respect, and building stronger community relations. 

## **Main Activities:** 

During the year, the charity carried out a range of activities to achieve its objectives, including: 

- Delivering regular religious services, lectures, and community gatherings. 

- Providing advocacy, advice, and information to members of the Kurdish community and the wider public. 

- Supporting the organisation of religious festivals and community celebrations. 

- Promoting understanding between people of different faiths and cultures through events and educational activities. 

- Implementing and maintaining key governance and safeguarding policies, including those on bullying and harassment, safeguarding vulnerable beneficiaries, volunteer management, conflict of interest, risk management, and trustee responsibilities. 



## **Public Benefit:** 

Through its religious and educational work, the charity benefits both the Kurdish community and the wider public by providing opportunities for worship, learning, and spiritual growth. Its activities also contribute to stronger community cohesion and mutual understanding between different faiths and cultures across England and Wales. 

## **Future Plans:** 

Looking ahead, the charity intends to: 

- Expand its religious and cultural activities to reach more members of the Kurdish community. 

- Continue strengthening safeguarding and governance policies to ensure safe and effective delivery of services. 

- Organise additional educational programmes and community events to promote interfaith understanding and cultural awareness. 

- Develop volunteer management and training opportunities to better support community needs.
