## **Treasurers Report for APCM 8.5.2022** **This report covers the period 1st January 2021 to 31st December 2021.** ## **Income** By God’s grace the income of the church saw a vast increase from the previous year. This was mostly due to £25,000, which was a legacy bequeathed to us by the late Marie Powell, who was a former member of this church. The church was also blessed with a donation made by the Church of the Good Shepherd (Carshalton Beeches) of £950. Another reason for the increase was due to the increase in hall hire, with new hires such as the Syrian Church and the Dreaming Tree, as well as the continued hall hire by the Romanian Orthodox Church. The year also saw an increase in planned giving, with those who are eligible to gift aid their donations being encouraged to do so. ## **Expenses** There was an increase in the running costs of the church as lockdown restrictions were lifted and the church reopened. Due to an increase in income, the PCC made a decision to increase its Parsh Pledge to £1250 per month, which is the amount churches pay to the Diocese towards staffing costs throughout the Diocese, including Tracy, Hayley and Rachel. This is a very nominal contribution considering that the Parish has been blessed with the equivalent of 2 full time posts. Please refer to the financial statement provided for exact details of the church’s income and expenditure for 2021, which has been examined and approved by an independent examiner on 15.3.22.
