2. Structure, governance and management

Disabled Christians Fellowship Sidcup is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (registered 25 January 2018). The charity is managed by a Board of Trustees, with roles of Chairperson, Safety Officer and Treasurer designated.

We were very sad to lose our long-standing trustee Nic Turner this year. Nic stepped down in November 2023 due to illness, and passed away in April 2024. A thank you gift was given to Nic and his wife for all their support and hospitality over many years.

David Willmot joined the trustees in May 2024.

Trustee meetings are held at least three times a year, and an Annual General Meeting is held with the membership in January each year.

The Board of Trustees is authorised to appoint new trustees to fill vacancies through the resignation or death of an existing trustee.

3. Financial review

The annual accounts were presented to the trustees on 10.1.25. We have made donations to four organisations that reflect DCF’s commitment to support those in need due to disability. We have continued to support a child through Compassion. We have been able to restart funding holidays for members and carers as

the need arises and fullyfunded tsvo holidays this year. At the period end there were unrestricted funds of £95,722.50 carried forward. 4. Public beneflt statement The trustees have complied with theirduty to have due regard to the guidance on public benefit published bythe commission in exercisingtheir povlers or duties. 5. Objectlves and actlvltles The objective of DCFSidcup is to relieve the needs of people with disabilities and other special needs. their families and their carers. This is particularly by, but not exclusively, the provision of: Social activities. friendship and companionship Financial support Respite care and holidays 6. Achievements and performance We have had a full programme of monthly meetingsthis year. This has been rnade possible by ourvitalteam of helpers. The usualformat of the meeting is entertainment followed bytea and cakes. Highlights include the DCF anniversary service and lunch in October, the Christmas party in December, and a fish and chip lunch in July. Financial support has been given in line with our commitmentto support those in need due to disabilityand ourcompassion sponsorship has continued.
