## **Annual Report and Accounts 2021**

## **Introduction**

The Cross Park Association was established as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation on 24[th] January 2018.

The building (and site) is owned by the Allhallows Parish Council and contains a recreation field, ‘country park’ and the Pavilion which was converted to form a community hall for the benefit of local residents. Activities concentrated on hall hire and small summer/christmas fetes.

Trustees for the year were:

Lisa Newstead (appointed 30[th] October 2020) Rachelle Freeguard (appointed 30[th] October 2020) Elizabeth Wiggins (appointed 30[th] October 2020) David Wiggins (appointed 30[th] October 2020) Chris Rimmer (appointed 30[th] October 2020) Chris Fribbins (appointed 30[th] October 2020) David Bennett (appointed 25[th] February 2021 ,deceased 16[th] December 2021)

Problems with banking and access to the funds of the Cross Park Association (Cross Park Community Association) persisted into 2021. Bills of the CIO were met by the Allhallows Parish Council to allow the charity to continue.

When COVID restrictions were lifted, we were able to access the previous funds and transfer to the Cross Park Association Charity Account (£8,626.06). A reconciliation was carried out and monies due to the Parish Council and one trustee were refunded.

COVID restrictions and banking issues continued to prevent practical use of the Pavilion until Late September/Early October 2021. The charity is indebted to the Allhallows Parish Council for continuing to covering expenditure (since late 2020). There were some planned improvements to the hall that were carried out in partnership with the Parish Council.

Hall bookings restarted in September/October as COVID restrictions were relaxed and there was investment in providing facilities to allow use of the hall for a café when not in use for bookings. Initially this was for two hours on Saturday and Sunday lunchtime. There has been further investment in extending the advertising for the site (and the café) and the hours of operation are being reconsidered as current footfall needs to improve.
