**Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document** 

1) to advance the education of the public in the history and heritage of the united kingdom, in particular but not exclusively by: a) the collection and preservation of material relating to social, economic and political history, incorporating the medium of oral history and reminiscence, through the creation of an archive which will be made available to the public; b) publishing and disseminating for the public benefit the useful results of research undertaken in furtherance of the object and publishing other materials likely to advance the object in the form of books, pamphlets or in other formats; c) arranging meetings, workshops, exhibitions and similar or related activities in furtherance of the above charitable object; and d) such other activities and means as the trustees see fit that furthers the above charitable object. 2) for the public benefit to promote the relief of elderly people by alleviating social isolation and loneliness, in particular by working with other organisations to provide facilities and services to support reminiscence therapy. 

During the year the charity was in an exploration and development stage, exploring how it could best deliver its objectives and ensure that the stories are shared in an accessible way.

As noted above the charity is in a developments stage and was working towards producing a “business plan” for the future with a fundraising strategy.  Its main achievements have been to develop networks of interested parties which will enable it to drive its work forward in future years.
