Section D Achievements and performance **Summary of the main** During 2024 we had over 3000 visits to our Community Fridge and were **achievements of the charity** able to save more than 14 tons of food going to waste by distributing it to **during the year** the community. Through our Community Garden we were able to grow, carrots, peas, sweetcorn, onions, potatoes, runner beans, broad beans, French beans, garlic, tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, spring onions, beetroot, radish, chilli peppers, kale, lettuce, spinach, pumpkins, strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, herbs, wild flowers and sweet peas. This food has been used to feed the community through our community café, it has been given out through our community fridge and has enabled many people in the community to come and grow food, harvest it and eat it. Across our projects we cooked more than 3500 meals and supported just over 200 households each week. Our volunteer base grew to 30 amazing volunteers helping us make sure that the community knows they are cared for. It has been clear that we need more space to grow more food and we are looking at ways that we can provide a more sustainable flow of food to the community. We have received 3 grants this year to develop our activities around food insecurity meaning we can develop the community garden, café and fridge whilst also looking to run some new cooking courses to help families learn to cook together using fresh ingredients from the garden. We have been meeting for our faith-based meetings in our forest school space located in the local school. This is an area we are exploring how we can develop to extend our community garden and the school is keen for us to use the space more which is really exciting.
