Section D Achievements and performance

With the COVID Pandemic during 2020, our community Café and main Summary of the main church activities had to stop, instead we focussed on one to one support achievements of the charity over the phone or via zoom and sent boxes of activities to peoples during the year houses to keep them occupied and give the children something to do. We worked alongside the town and county council to open a community fridge with the aim of supporting the community, building relationships, and vitally helping to tackle food poverty within the community. This was a hugely needed lifeline in the community and saw on average 50 people come and use the fridge, often supplementing the food they received from the local food bank with fresh food that promoted and encouraged Healthy eating.

The main sources of funding for The Wave comes from a grant we receive from The Baptist Union of Great Britain, we also receive gifts given by members and supporters of The Wave.
