I am honoured to present this trustee report on behalf of the Milton **Summary of the main** Keynes Bangladeshi Association for the fiscal year ending June 30th, **achievements of the charity** 2023. **during the year**

**Overview:**

The year 2022 marked a pivotal turning point for our organization as COVID-19 restrictions were lifted, allowing us to resume our vital services and programs for the Bangladeshi community in Milton Keynes.

## **Service Delivery:**

Throughout the year, our community services remained steadfast, providing invaluable support and guidance to our members. We offered a diverse array of services, spanning health and social care, education, employment, and immigration advice. Additionally, our team orchestrated workshops, training sessions, and events aimed at fostering community cohesion and well-being.

We also forged partnerships with other organizations, particularly in response to the devastating floods in Pakistan in August 2022, offering assistance to those affected.

## **Fundraising:**

The profound impact of the floods in Bangladesh and Pakistan prompted us to collaborate with local businesses and other entities to raise awareness and essential funds for the victims.

## **Governance:**

Our board of trustees convened regularly to ensure the organization's financial stability and adherence to legal and regulatory mandates. We diligently reviewed and refined our policies and procedures, including our safeguarding policy. Moreover, we appointed a new working Executive Committee tasked with providing leadership and fulfilling the association's obligations until the next general elections.

## **Looking Ahead:**

With optimism, we anticipate a more favorable year ahead for both our community and organization. We remain committed to delivering essential services and exploring innovative avenues to support the Bangladeshi community in Milton Keynes. Continual review and enhancement of our governance structures will ensure our operational effectiveness and efficiency.

## **Conclusion** :

I extend heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated staff, volunteers, and partners for their unwavering commitment during a challenging year. Together, we remain steadfast in our mission to serve the Bangladeshi community in Milton Keynes and eagerly anticipate another year of accomplishments.
