Our contact at The Greenwich &
Bexley Community Hospice•j*
approached us to ask if Andi's Gift
would consider booking Joseph
Cavalli Price (Pianist & singer) and
Mared Pugh-Evans (King's
harplst), from Music in Hospices,
as a memory making experience.
Andi's Gift was able to make 5

bookings with them throughout
the year.
July 24 saw Andi's Gift last
booking with Alamanda Therapy
Animals (accounts for this in
23124 budget). Very sadly,
Alamanda's therapy pony,
Applause died in Oct 2024.
Following this sadness, Alamanda
Therapies moved from the UK to
Scotland. Andi's Gift have been
looking for other organisations,
where we can book similar
memory making activities.
October Andi's Gift spoke with
Lower Bush Alpaca's in Kent and
were able to book them for a visit
in Oct 24.
In November 24 Andi's Gift were
especially pleased to support 5
families who use the GBCH to
attend the Danson Park Fireworks
and provide gift vouchers, so they
could bring refreshments with
them to the Firework Display.

Feedback rom the year:
Special thanks goes to Alamanda's
miniature American Pony
Applause, who for so many years,
has enabled families to make
special memories together through
Andi's Gift. May Applause's
beautiful soul, rest easy over the
rainbow Bridge.
Summary ofthe
main achievements
of thé charity,
identifying the
difference the
charity's work has
made to the
circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any
wider benefits to
society as a whole.
Para 1.20
It remains really important to
Andi's Gift to look for another
organisation to work with, who
can provide similar animal therapy
memory making experiences,
based on all the positive feedback
Andi's Gift has had from time with
Applause.
Joseph Cavalli Price and Mured
Pugh-Evan's from Music in
Hospices.
These talented musicians have
given 5 amazing concerts at the
bedside of patients on the
inpatient unit. The concerts have
brought comfort, and hope and joy
at difficult times for both patients.
families, staff and volunteers.
The feedback from the summer
concert, was thatfor the first time
in the hospices history, nearly
every patient and member of staff
were outside in the hospice garden
being part of the music.
Muslc In Hospices invited Andi's
Gift to a christm.as celebration
concert, in collaboration with the
Lang Lang foundation, at the
hospice. This was televised by BBC
Breakfast, to explore & celebrate

what music can mean to people
who require palliative care.
At this concert I sat next to a
family, whose Mother had been at
the hospice for both music in
hospice concert and for a therapy
animal visit and he thanked Andi's
Gift. He said that both occasions
had altered his families memories,
from solely painful ones, to also
include special memories of joy. He
shared examples of when his
Mum opened her eyes too join in a
song Joe sang to her. He said when
he arrived at the hospice with his
Mum, he was so stressed and then
suddenly looked up to see an
alpaca coming towards him and
text his family to say can you
believe this! He said his Mum had
lived a long life and she was a lady
of many special stories. At her
funeral, he said he chose these 2
stories that happened in the last
weeks of her life to share as part of
her eulogy.
This feedback, was incredibly
moving and highlights the
importance and benefits of living
and making memories right up to
death.
In that moment it linked back to
Andi, when she shared her
birthday owl experience, with a
fellow patient who died shortly
'afterwards; 10 years ago.
The Alpacas first visit was very
positive and they have been
booked for 3 more visits next year.
The Danson Park Fireworks,
provided an opportunity for Andi's
Glft to work with the hospice
social work team for this memory

making activity, hopefully this can
be replicated next year.
Andl's Glft received a thank you
card from the hospice, with a
collection of photographs of the
memories made this year and a
letter from the Hospice Trust and
Foundation Manager, its content
can be viewed on Andi's Gift
Facebook page, posted on 19.12.24
There has also been a lot of
background work going on into
Virtual Reality Memory Making.
The donated VR headset that
Andi's Gift loaned out for memory
making during covid, has now
been passed onto the GBCH for
them to trial before investing any
funds into updated models. Andi's
Gift has provided information
about how other palliative care
services have been using VR. Our
contact at the hospice has involved
a hospice volunteer to further
research this, to see if and how it
might work at GBCH. Once they
have completed their evaluation,
Andi's Gift together with them cari
see if it is viable to financially
provide support with VR memories
making, next year.

Trustees Report
Th'e Trustees of Andi's Gift are pleased to present their annual report and financial statement
for the year ending 31" March 2025.
Andi's Gift is governed by its constitution. There are currently three Trustees. who in their
professional life have experience of palliative care, law and family life; they also are related
or close friends of the late Andrea White, which assists with the continuation of Andi's
legacy through Andi's Gift.
Purpose of.Andi's Gift:
To relieve the needs of patients and their families who access a hospice/have a palliative
health condition, by sourcing memory making activities and providing financial support to
enable these to take place.
Objectives:
Memory making is important for those who require palliative care, allowing them to
maximise living. allowing family/friends to be able to share and cherish special memories.
Activities:
Andi's Gift now has a link with the wellbeing team, and the social work team, at the
Greenwich and Bexley Hospice. This has been very helpful to identify IAihat memory making
activities patients and their families enjoy. Once activities are identified the hospice liaise
with the bookings to ensure suitable dates for the hospice. A trustee made a visit to the
hospice in December, as Andi's Gift was invited to a celebration concert in collaboration with
Music in Hospices and the Lang Lang foundation, to explore and celebrate the role of music
in palliative care. Andi's Gift were thanked for the funds that enabled Music in Hospices to
do atthe GHCH.
Alamanda Therapy Animals, made their last visit to the hospice in July; Andi's Gift was very
grateful to one of Andi's friends and work colleagues, who volunteered and supported the
visit.
Sadly, Applause Alamanda's Miniature American pony, who touched so many people's hearts
died in October 24. Andi's Gift sent condolences and posted a memory on Andi's Gift
Facebook page.
Alamanda has since moved to Scotland; Andi's Gift is actively looking for other organisations
that provide similar memory making experiences.
The GBCH asked if Andi's Gift would book the musicians Joseph Cavalli Price (pianist and
singer) and Mared Pugh-Evans (kings harpist), from Music in Hospices, to perform for
patients their families and staff, on the inpatient unlt. Five of these concerts have been
supported this year, the feedback has been very positive.

Lower Bush Alpaca's in Kent have made their first visit to the hospice, which was well
received. They have been booked for a further 3 visits.
Andi's Gift supported 5 families to attend the Danson Park Fireworks. each family was given
a voucher to enable them to take refreshments with them to the fireworks. The value of the
voucher made according to the size of the family.
The VR headset that was donated to Andi's Gift during covid to providè a virtual memory,
has now been passed onto GBCH together with information of other places using VR for
memory making. Our contact at the hospice together with a hospice volunteer are further
researching this to see if it is a viable option for the hospice. Once they have evaluated this,
they will get back to us to discuss how and if it is appropriate for Andi's Gift to financially
contribute in supporting this.
Fundraising:
We remain very grateful to ou.r monthly donor.
We are grateful to a donor who donated instead of receiving birthday presents
We are also very grateful to Gemma Illman from Lasting Touch who gives Andi's gift a 20%
discount on memory jewellery for families, although we have not had any requests for this.
The Future:
The Greenwich and Bexley hospice would like us to continue to book Music in hospices.
However, Music in hospices plan to increase their charges in 2025, therefore the Greenwich
& Bexley Community hospice are looking into how Andi's Gift could link with another of their
donors to continue to enable their visits.
Further visits have been booked for the Alpacas and possibly goats to visit. We continue to
look for a miniature pony experience for the future.
Andi's Gift hopes to support families attending the Danson Park fireworks again. to enable
more families to go, in the coming year we will not be supplying vouchers for refreshments.
The hospice hopes to feedback their research on how trialling the donated VR headset has
gone later in the year.
