Andi's Gift Trustees Report 2023 The Trustees Report for the year ending 31st March 2024 Charity registration number: 1176759 4 r%.dLS

Trustees Report The Trustees of Andi's Gift are pleased to present their annual report and financial statement for the st year ending 31 March 2024. Andi's Gift is governed by its constitution. There are currently three Trustees; who in their professional life have experience of palliative care, law and famlly life; they also are related or close friends of the late Andrea White, which assists with the continuation of Andi's legacy through Andi's Gift. Purpose of Andi's Gift: To relieve the needs of patients and their families who access a hospice/have a palliative health condition, by sourcing memory making activities and providing financial support to enable these to take place. Objectives: Memory making is important for those who require palliative care, allowing them to maximise living. allowing family/friends to be able to share and cherish special memories. Activities: Andi's Gift now has a link with the wellbeing team, at the Greenwich and Bexley Hospice. This has been very helpful to identify what memory making activities patients and their families enjoy. Once activities are identified the hospice liaise with the bookings to ensure suitable dates for the hospice. A trustee made a visit to the hospice this year, during a memory making experience and met the wellbeing team member. Alamanda Therapy Animals, have visited The Greenwich and Bexley hospice, once this year. four more bookings have been secured for 2024, due to Alamanda availability. The money given to Alamanda Therapy Animals has enabled them to make 6 other bookings this year, to people with palliative care needs, on a call out basis, in their local area of Essex. Harpist, Tomos Xerri made a visit to the Greenwich and Bexley hospice, to perform for patients their families and staff. Photo frames were provided, so that the hospice could take memory photographs of the therapy animals and the harp experience for patients, families to keep. One family initially wanted memory jewellery, but later decided not to go ahead. Another family at the Greenwich and Bexley Hospice, received silver memory Jewellery. Finger print kits were purchased for the Greenwich and Bexley hospice, to prevent issues with postal delays, as one potential patient had passed away before the kit arrived and it had not been realised that fingerprints can be taken post bereavement. Canvas Finger print memory Tree, was provided for a famlly recel!Ing palliative care: in Stoke on Trent, who approached Andi's Gift for support,

Fundraising: We remain very grateful to our monthly donor. We are also very grateful to Gemma Illman from Lasting Touch who gives Andi's gift a 20% discount on memory jewellery for families. The next financial year will mark what would have been Andi White's 50th birthday in September and th the 10 anniversary of her passing in November; it is hoped between these dates to fundraise. The Future: The Greenwich and Bexley hospice have identified two musicians from Music in Hospices, for 4 memory making experiences in the next financial year. Alamanda Therapy animals are making 4 visits in the next financial year, these have been paid for this year. These will be the final visits for Alamanda, as they are moving to Scotland. Therefore, Andis Gift needs to look for new animal experiences for the future. The Greenwich and Bexley hospice have seen a sample of the finger print memory tree Andis Gift provided this year and would like to see how these might be used at their hospice.
