Memory makingi is imponant for those who require pallialive care, allowing? them lo maximise livingi., allowin familylfriends to be able to sharc and cherish spccial mcinorics. Aclivilies: Sadlv bccause of Covid 19 Pandemic, Andi's Gifl have not bicn ablc lo provide any mcmory making7 aciivilies for palicnts attending¥ the Greenwich and Bexley Communily Hospice, in line with ihe hospice's covid restriclions to kcep evcryone safe. We did otyer the hospice £750 to buy suitable iablcts. so that inpatients could keep in conlact wilh ihcir farnilies. however, the hospice did not giet back 10 us about it. Andi's Gift was made aware of a youngv woman, with pallialive breast cancer, who wanted to get married whilst she was still well enoubh. Andi's Gift provided £500 to help make the weddinb possible. Thc lady sadly died 7 monihs later. her family said that they cherish the phoios of her special day, which ihey were able lo share with ihcir younb baby. Andi's Gift has been able to provide a teenabier with silver fing?crprint jewellery, from hcr dad, as part his legyacy. Another bienileman's family got in iouch with Andi's Gtft to ask lor a helicopter flibyht before ihcir father was loo unwell to enjoy it. Unfortunately, wilh Covid reslriclions an actual helicopter tlibiht was not possible. Andi's biift approached Virtual Realily Experienccs in London and asked if we could hire ihc equipmcnl to make the helicopi¢T experience possible. The company decided thal they would like to donale a virtual reality head sel lo Andi's Gift. which we were incredibly grateful for. The g?enil¢man enjoyed his helicopter flight and found it so relaxing that h¢ has continued to use it to help him througih his palliaiive chemo sessions. as li relaxes him. and h¢ has found he has a better appetite after using it. To enable his family will remember the experience, Andi's gift purchased aa Chromecast: this Meant hi5 family could watch experience he was seeing in the headseL on their TV. Fundraising: With the Covid 19 pandcmic our fund rnisinL has been alTL'cied. Therc wcrL' two people with placLS in the l.ondon Mardthon, who were gyoinbi lo run for Andi's Cjili. hoii'Lvcr this event was cancelled.
