Charity Registration No: 1176744 Contact: Cyril.R - 07405 508128 / Asanka B - 07414613409 Email :- kslbcc@gmail.com** ## **ANNUAL REPORT OF THE KENT SRI LANKAN BUDDHIST CULTURAL CENTRE 01/01/2023 – 31/12/2023** The Kent Sri Lankan Buddhist Cultural Centre registered as a charity, on the 19th January 2018.The year 2023 was the most successful year for the charity. We have had the weekly Zoom Dhamma discussions on Thursday, with the Buddhist Venerable and the local Buddhist practitioners. In May 2023 we invited the Venerable Meepe Siri Dhamma Rathana Thero to conduct Dhamma discussions and other religious practices. As you know KSLBCC has had no permanent place to run programmes/events. During Venerable Thero’s visit, the Kent Sri Lankan Buddhist Cultural centre had to provide accommodation and other expenses. The charity extends their sincere gratitude for Venerable Thero’s dedication. Also, KSLBCC highly appreciated members who assisted Venerable Thero’s wellbeing throughout the visit. Since registering the charity, members were looking for a permanent place to continue organising religious programmes and establishing the Buddhist community. KSLBCC has written to the Dartford council and the Sevenoaks council to help us find a suitable building or land. So far, we have not received a positive reply. ## **This is a 2023 income and expenses** START BALNCE 2023 £9495.05 INCOME 2023 £802.09 EXPENCES 2023 £5771.36 **END OF 2023 BALANCE £4525.78.** Finally, the charity wishes to extend special appreciation for all the members who supported financially and attended events.
