1)We have established a school in the area of
Chakswari-(Mirpur /A.K)which has now been
running for about 9years. It is a 5 classroom
school providing education from Reception year

Currently we have 150 children who attend this

beneficiaries and any wider children who have progressed , by paying their

We are slowly improving resources and
facilities, which include computer classes,
internet and more use of spoken English by
having a 40min period for kids to interact in
English on a daily basis . We have now begun
extra classes to teach children computer skills
and sewing.
We are also improving basic classroom facilities
-which includes boundary walls, toilet facilities,
cooling system and cold drinking water .
This has been our main focus throughout this
period as we wish to make a real impact into the
lives of people.
We have established on-line learning-mostly to
improve understanding of English and its
practical use. This is basically a set up of a
media screen in one of the classrooms and
allowing children to access formal English
learning lessons .
We are working closely with local educational
officers to follow guidelines with
opening/closing times, as well as any other
restrictions advised.
2) As in previous years, we continue to feed
around 150-200 people twice a month -the food,
ready cooked by a local vendor, for which we
pay, is brought onto the school premises where
it is distributed to the children/parents and any
local poor person.
We continue to provide food parcels aswell as
cooked food to those we have identified as being
needy, in the locality. We try to maintain and
update our list of poor families.

3)We work closely with other charities – previously we worked with KADECT (British based charity) however as their functioning gradually winded down, we have selected another British based charity which supports children with hearing and speech impairment in a place called Baffa, Mansehra, in the district of KPK, Pakistan—Al-Munir Foundation (UK registered) 4)Animal sanctuary and support remain on our agenda of things to do. Current economic and political environment of the country restrict us from proceeding further. However this year I have found land, which can be utilised to set up a Donkey sanctuary in agreement with the landlord who is willing to lease it for free.I have started to prepare plans on what structures to build and how to function as an animal/donkey sanctuary. 5) W have purchased dialysis machines and sent them over—which are in storage. We are working closely with local nursing and medical teams to try and establish a Dialysis centre. We are in discussion with Medics/Technicians and have chosen a site in the city of Haripur for the setting up of this Dialysis centre. However progression is very slow-as we are unable to locate a suitable site-and the current socioeconomic climate do not allow movement at any considerable speed unfortunately. Previous efforts have led to no real progress with no agreements. Several options were explored at 2 different locations but have failed. Now the option of opening a centre solely by the charity is being explored.This would entail the leasing of a property and setting up the centre with the help of a local doctor and support of a nephrologist. Progression is very slow-as working with healthcare teams is proving to be very difficult-especially finding a nephrologist.
