The club's activities have again been seriously
curtailed
by the Covid 19
pandemic,
which prevented
us from carrying
out most ofour usual
activities.
Our main fundraising
event, the June beer festival, was
cancelled for the second year running.
This reduced the money we were
able to donate to needy individuals
and causes, and
will significantly
reduce our income for the year 2021-2022 and thus restrict the amount of
financial
support we will be able to give until October 2022 when we will
receive income from the 2022 beer festival.
1. Advancement

Covid 19restrictions
prevented
us from any work with the local schools
throughout
the year. These will be resumed as soon as possible.

Summary
ofthe main
achievements
ofthe charity
during the year
The club did manage
to raise over F18,000over the year from various
fundraising
activities.
The biggest fundraiser
was a sponsored
walk
undertaken
by an individual
club member which raised F11,700. Other
fundraising
events included
a sponsored
Everest challenge
and sundry
collections.
As previously
stated the Beer Festival, the club's major
fundraiser,
did not take place in the year being reported
on.
In addition
to the above the club, working
in partnership
with Keswick
Rotary Club, ran a COVID 19Emergency
Fund giving grants off100to
local people facing an immediate
financial
crisis. The club raised
612,000for this fund during
the year and used this along with funds
raised
in the previous year to donate f17,900to individual
and families
facing financial
hardship.
The club has been able to make donations
to local, national
and
international
good causes including:
1. Donations to local organisations
such as the BMXtrack in the local
park, a local man who repairs donated
cycles, money to a local
school to purchase
Iaptops, Keswick Rugby Club and the BEEP
Doctors Fund.
2.
Donation
to the CLIC Sargent young people's cancer appeal.
3.
Donations to international
causes.
World Vision, a LCIF appeal for
Lebanon
and to support a school in Zambia.
The club supported
elderly
local residents
by giving Christmas
hampers
to people the club feels would benefit from them.
Throughout
the year the club has maintained
the garden ofthe local
cottage hospital.
Socially distanced
litter picks and Himalayan
balsam bashing
sessions
took place during the year when COVID regulations
permitted.
We did our annual
Christmas
Card delivery service again, on a socially
distanced
basis. There was no charge this year, although
the service
attracted
donations
ofover F600. Many ofthe cards were delivered
by
Father Christmas,
travelling
round town on a specially adapted
tricycle,
which was very popular
with local families.
