## **Finance report for the 2026 AGM of the VOBR** 

The VOBR Bank accounts had £38,935 at the end of the financial year which ended at the end of September 2025. 

This compared to £66,945 at the start of the year. 

Total spent on Oldminster sidings is about £23,682, This includes 11 of the containers including delivery, it includes the covered awnings between the containers and the concrete beams that were acquired. It also includes the wooden sleepers purchased and the Hardcore. 

The Locomotive tent was funded by Andrew Woodhall 

There was £3,600 spent for the Pacers, mainly the delivery cost. 

Other expenses were £2,400 moving locos and rolling stock from the engine shed to the sidings 

We paid over £21,000 towards the planning permission costs and survey fees 

We paid almost £5000 in insurances and the shed rent paid was £9,000 

On the Profit & Loss side there is £15,700 shown as an increase in fixed asset values, this includes the tents and awnings, the containers, and a reduction in the residual value of the New Holland. There is no depreciation added for the workshop machines. 

During the year we claimed back £4,750 Gift Aid 

We had £3,664 in scrap metal sales. 

Memberships brought in £6,655 and there were further donations totalling £20,888, this includes large donations from Andrew Woodhall and Edgar Craggs, and also the proceeds of the sale of Phil Mcnamara’s train set

## **Independent Examiners Report 1 October 2024 – 30 Sept 2025** 

Having experienced a number of major issues with personnel in this period, we have been unable to submit an Independent Examiners Report for this period. 

However, we have now recruited Bookcheck Ltd to oversee all aspects of our accounts and all financial accounting systems will be controlled by them going forward
