Summary of the main actlvltie$ in relation to those puryxbses fortho publle benefiL In particular. the acllvltles. prol¢cts or services Identified in the accoun OPA comprises a group of around 14 professional string players who individually or in small groups. visit schools and music centres to enthuse and encourage potential young musicians. OPA had a successful run of 11 concerts duringthe period Feb 12023. to January 312024. Six OLrt of these involved an educational project as part of the event. workingwith primary schools nearthe venue where a large group of pupils m￿retsught age•appropriate songs and were then accompanied bythe orchestra in performance before parents and members otthe general public. In addltion. OPAwas involved with Malvem Concert Ciubh*ffto organised a day on which the members of the orchestra vistted schools and engaged with the students. Theythen returned to their base at Christ Church Malvem to perform a concertto parents and pubiicthat ￿lebrated the workshops in the schools. Ten ofthe concerts were engagements by Coventry Cathedral Chows, Water City Music, Espressivo Malvern Concert Club and Burford Lenthall Concerts. One concert was a self-promotion at Worcesterwhtch was also a successful educattonal event. The events displayed a wide-ranging type of concertvenue. from Coventycathedralfor two concerts to Berkeley Castle and Shed Arts in Tetbury. It was a successtul year both artistically and financially. The orchestra played to a very high standard which reflects the lon -term relationshi that the ers have wth one another. Review of the charity8 flnanclal position at the end ottho p•riod OPA finished the yearwith a sm811 deficit on Its activities during the year. A generous donation made in the previous year given for the sole purpose of enabling the educational activities to continue had allowed the Trustees to approve a small Increase in the fees paid to the orchéstra members and to k88P ticket prlces for concerts at a minimum level.
