ACHIEVEMENTSAND PERFORMANCE
Durlng the year. we have continued to wait on the Lord to see where he ￿ Jeadiry us. tt has been erKouraging to see a number
of new people attend1￿ the church. and In September. we held a service Whe￿ three of our congregatlon demonstrated thelr
Obed￿n￿ to the Lord by ￿Ing bapt5sed. We have continued to be blessed by the rninistry of a wide range of vlsiting preachers,
who have led our Sunday moming Ser¥￿e5 and. as we have said in prevkjus ￿￿rts, there Is no ￿aSon why that could not
continue forthe IoTeseeable future. However. as a church we cortinue to seektte Lord to See if thls 1st￿ right way forward or
f He wants to take us in a different dire￿n.

rnore in-depth studyof the 8iNe using a strurtured studygulde.
Thefortnightfy ladies, fellowship group Iknown asthe EstherGruupl has rnetthrougl￿t theyear on Wednesday mornings, and
the men's fellowship 8roup ha5 evow into a walking group, weather perniittin& and Trow irKludes some ladies who wsh to
walk. Both groups airn to provide an opwrtun1tyfor$￿riThB in an infornial rththreatenin8 environment.
A Harvest service was held In October. followed ty a lunch in the church hall. We had the opportunityto welcorne rnembers of
the Harper Adams UnNer5ty Christian UnK)n tts the 5eryKe and to rneet and trlk with them over lunch. All HaNest gifts were
donated to Newport Ftyjdbank. The Church sypports Newkx)rt Foodbank throughout the year with Erfts of food received from
memLEr5.
Our Grft Day t¢Ktk p￿ce In March 2024. A totsl of £1￿ ￿al ratsed lindudinEthe ￿lated Gift ￿dI and this amount was sha￿d
betweènoneof our Miss￿narya5.judVCo0kand HO￿ Now Ukraine. a charityoperatin8 rnainfy in the Ukraine. but whoalso work
in Moldova and Sri Lanka.
There were a nurnberof newathitses that started in 2024.
Wth the support of a grant from the Shropshire Community FoundatK)n, we stsrted the Tuesday Warm Drop In. The church Is
open on a Tuesday nK)rnin8 foranyone in the wmmuntyto drop in for a chaL a cup olcoffee and the opportunty to settle in a
warm welcorning cosyenviionment.The Drop in is a 5ucce55 and we have therefore deoded ts) continue itfor 2025.
A￿0 duringthe yeara newwednesdayevening M￿￿has¢on￿TheKed. known asthe er￿Unte1GrQup. The Group rneetso￿e
month, and In 2025 r( will be rneetlng on the fourth Wednesday ol each month. The group is open to anyone in Newport and
the wider Christian Cornmunity who would like to set ashle an eveninBto waitonthe Lord and recei¥e from HSM.
In Septern￿r, the Church held a separate coffee ftKJrning in sUp￿r¢ of m3cm￿lan Cancer &Jpport and raised £226 for their
cause.
The Church has also been invofved wrth Neww)rt &nwngTogether,a c1*Jirforpeop￿ with dementla and their carers. Durlngthe
year they have held a number of events. the alm ol which has been to proV￿e a degree of ￿pIte for the people inVo￿ed ir¢
caringfor the dementia sufferers.

Reserves are needed to bridge the gap between spending and ￿￿[n& of income and to cover ufiplanned emergency
ex￿nditure.
The Trustees feel that it is prudent for the Chureh to aim to maintsin a level of cash reserves equNalent to the c05t of running
the church for a period of six rnonths. plus a cortingerKy f￿nd of ÉIO.(MK) for one off expenses. We know that durin8 2025, we
are going to have to have the outsSde of the church decorated. there s also work reqUI￿d on the interitsr of the building..
The running costs of the church for six rnorths will ￿ in the ￿10￿ 01 £8.375. Reserves atthe year*nd arnoL¢rted to £31.146
Reserves at the yearend extseded the wjlky level by £12.771. This is the extent of our bjffer against unfveseen e¥penditure
aad part of our savings so that we may. at some kX¥irt in the fvture. be able to employ a Minister. Being reallsti¢, the c05t of
employing a new rninisterfulltirne would be in the region of £42.(X)O per annum.Therefore. savbngsakjne will never ￿ enough.
