ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
Th15 year, 2023. has been a year of pau&ng and waitine on the Lord to see where he is leading u5. During the year. the church
has begun to think about a vision for the future. We have wntinued to be blessed by the mlnlstry of a wlde range of vistting
preachers, who have led our Sunday rnorning serylces and there is no rea50n why that could not continue for the foreseeable
future. However, as a church we are seekingthe Lordto see rfthèt 15the right way forw3rd or If He wants to take us in a different
d*￿ttIon.

We have agreed to start a weekly Warm Drop In on a Tuesday mornln8.This will run fromjanuary through to the end of M8r¢h,
atwhith F)oint we shall assess hs effectlveness and conslderwhether or notto extend it.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
The Church's work Is entirely dependent on the Lord's leadiryg and the resources He provides.
Our finances are on an even keel and If the current levels of irtome and expendrture continue, we should be able to operate as
we are indefinrtely. However, it is a delicate balance and one large unexperted bill could change that.
We started theyearwith cash reserves In the bank of E18,136. Durln8 theyear Income received wa5 £25.300 and our expendlture
totalled £17AOO. We received £7,500 rn0￿ than we spent. This ha5 increased our year end cash re5erwes to £25,636.

Reserve5 policy
Reserves are needed lo brld8e the gap between the spendlng and recelvlng of income and to cover unplanned emergency
expenditure.
The Tru5tee5 feel that it is prudeni for the Church io alm to mainialn a level of cash reseNes eoulvalent to the cosi of runnin8
the chuich for a period of six months. Given our new circumstances, wlth no mlnlsterto pay, the running costs of the church for
six months will be in the reg￿n of £8.750. Reserves at the yearend amounted to E25,636.
Resenjes at the year-end exceeded the wllcy level by £16.886. Thls Is the extent ol Dur buffer against unforeseen expendlture
and part of our 5avin85 50 that we may. at some polnt In the future. be able to employ a mlnlster. Being realistic, the cost of
empby4n8a new ministerfull tlrne would be In the region of £42,000 perannum. Therefore, savings alone will never be enough.
Our weekly offering5 would need to rise by £800 per week each and every weeL
