Children/youth:
Although our numberswere small, we ¢ontlnued to
have a v¥ide age range of children and youih from
those who were at primary right up to school leaving
ag6, so it has b66n difficult to find a rang¢ of tea¢hlng
and activities that fit hvith all.
However we were able to do this through bible based
teaching? but mainly centred this around lots of games
and a¢tlvltlfrs: where those Invdved had lots to do ra-
ther than sit and listen. We also had lots of snacks. The
snacks were specifically asked for by some tsf the old-
or one
We crmtinued with youth type activltles on a Sunday
mornlng such as tab16 t¢w f¢x*tball or alr h￿koY as a
way to get rid of energy before doing the games and
a¢tSvities centred on biblical teachlng.
One particular session that stands out was about how
to help ourselves when w* f*el angryp and we looked
at the causes of anger. It was Interesting to see that
several of our young people admitted to feelin9
'hangry') belng hungry maklng thom angry.
So that parents and others Could get a taste of the
teachlng w6 w6r6 dolng In the youih room on a Sun-
day mornin9* we continued with sketches as part of
the main meeting before the ehildrenlyouth went out
to thèlr own meetlngs. Thesè tled In wilh iho t6ad7lng

stwies dramatl¢8lly presented or object l¢sson& We
continued to use the wall for displaying things that we
had made and wordsearches or ￿loUrIng. We also
have tried to put ¢)n Facebook pictues of us In actlon
so that others can see what we have been up to.
We were treated to a freshly painted notice board and
wall in blue, the colour that the youth/children had
chosen th¢mselv6

Glow-worms:
Numbers at Gl¢)wworms baby and loddler
group contlnued to be steady through¢)ut the
year. We alwayswelcome new faces as ihe
months go by? and many of thè famlllès hav¢
slayed with us long temi.
W6 have also had a few returners (where the
chlldren In the famlly have moved ¢)n to
nursery or school, and ihe family have then
gono on to hav¢ other babl6s and return¢d to
us)
W6 have also welcomed several families
where the parentswere once aow-worms

Several outlngs to¢& placè. In the summarwe
did our usual walk to raise funds for Barnar-
do's by toddling along the seafront 8nd back
with a cheeky ice cream involved halfway.
At Chrislmas we went to a wildlife park on a
very cold day) bul w¢ were able to s¢¢ tho

sefring Santa and having lunch in the café ar-

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:

1. Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements

   - to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the Act; and

   - to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records; and

   - to comply with the accounting requirements of the Act have not been met; or

2. To which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

**HOPE HOUSE CHURCH - MABLETHORPE NOTES TO THE ACCOUNTS FOR THE YEAR END 31ST DECEMBER 2022**

## **Covid 19**

During the years 2020 and 2021 much of the work of Hope House and the associated Open House ministry was severly disrupted by the onset of the pandemic and two lock downs. The café was closed and the kitchen was deployed to feed housebound people. The community bus was used to deliver meals to people's homes.

Hope House is immensely grateful for the support provided by Local Government and individuals to fund this outreach work.
