Introduction: Wglcome to the Hope Houso Churth Mablethorpo. trustses annual reportfor2021. This docu- ment is intended to give an overview of the activities of the Church throughout the year. For most businesses. charities and inthviduals. 2021 will be romembered for the continued im- pact of the COVID19 pandemic. Our activities continued to be impacted, although work done by our team during the previous year. when COVID19 first spread. ensured we were well pre- pared for the gffgcts of lockdown lJanuary-April 2021) In April 2021, after 14 month$ &wayy we were able to begin face to face meetings agaln at Hopo House. We initially started with mid weekfellowthip rneeting and then. 1 month18tor. for Pentecost. we started Sunday meetings again. Having broadcast all our meetings to the Internet fi)r the past year. we took the declslon to make our maln rneetlngs'hybrld, rnovlng forward: a moeting which can be attendgd in person or joingd live onlino. All throughout the pandemlc. the Hope House bulldlng has been used as a ¢ommunlty hub to servo the local greas nggds: in particular for the preparation and delivery of hot meals to pg0- plewho were isolated in their hornes. This continued until mid May when ouremphasis rnoved back to providing meals at Hope House to encourage people to connect back Into the widgr community aft9r a long period of isolation. We also Continuod to provtdo ond of day food sourced from local supermarkets and lood outlets, to people who are in need. This work has grown qulte signlftcantly durfng the year. both in terms of the arnount of food we source and in the numbor of pgople who use thi$ service. The transltlon from our bullding belng used excluslvely as a communlty hub, back to being a plgco of worship thot 1$ Opgn to the public. involvod a largo amount of work. HOPE HOUSE CHURCH - MABLETHORPE
INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT
TO THE TRUSTEES OF HOPE HOUSE CHURCH MABLETHORPE
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31ST DECEMBER 2021
I report on the accounts of the Charity for the year ended 31st December 2021, which are set out on page 5 to 13.
Respective responsabilities of trustees and examiner
As a charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts; you consider that the audit requirement of section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the Act) does not apply. It is my responsibility to state, on the basis of procedures specified in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners under section 43(7)(b) of the Act, whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner's report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Independent examiner's statement
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
-
Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements
-
to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the Act; and
-
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records; and
-
to comply with the accounting requirements of the Act have not been met; or
-
To which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

HOPE HOUSE CHURCH - MABLETHORPE NOTES TO THE ACCOUNTS FOR THE YEAR END 31ST DECEMBER 2021
Covid 19
During the years 2020 and 2021 much of the work of Hope House and the associated Open House ministry was severly disrupted by the onset of the pandemic and two lock downs. The café was closed and the kitchen was deployed to feed housebound people. The community bus was used to deliver meals to people's homes.
Hope House is immensely grateful for the support provided by Local Government and individuals to fund this outreach work.
