Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document
Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)
Provide quality pre-school provision for children age 2-4 years, in a happy and secure environment, having fun, meeting new friends and learning through play.
As a provider, the happiness and wellbeing of your child is paramount and we are there to encourage children to develop as individuals. Activities are age / stage appropriate and we will listen to children’s and parents ideas / comments when planning. We have long term and daily plans that’s in line with the New curriculum, these are adapted to meet the needs of all children. We offer choice to all children whatever their ability or needs. We have high expectations and we aim to achieve this through the removal of barriers to learning and participation. We want all our children to feel valued and we will respect the children choices and listen to their demands: We aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum for all children by planning for the needs and requirements of individuals including those with Additional needs. Staff will respect the child’s requirements and make provision to meet their needs and ensure that they are able to participate effectively in curriculum and assessment activities. All our children are assessed when they start in the Cylch. We use this information to provide a starting point for the development of an appropriate curriculum for all children. If our assessments show that a child has a learning difficulty then the ALN co-ordinator and key worker will use a range of strategies and resources to further support the child. Outside agencies will be contacted if necessary, with consent of the parents to provide the best care and development for the child. We will follow and adhere to information and instructions given to fully include the child and work closely with referral agencies, educational philologist, portage workers and any other agencies involved. An additional needs support worker will be employed if necessary for the child under the ‘Assisted Places’ scheme. Children and families benefit from this service. Some children may demonstrate difficult behaviour. Staff uses a range of strategies to deal with difficult behaviour, but some may require additional support. A Play Plan may be created, outlining key targets for the

child to work towards. Advice would also be sought from external support services e.g. behaviour support team.
We work in partnership with parents, Earl Years, Flying Start and the wider community and this often benefits each individual child with their development.
Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)
A great contribution is made by member’s volunteers. Without the help and support of our volunteers and their valuable contribution of time to help us apply and allocate grant money to purchase new resources we would not have been able to have achieved so much with the young children and their families.
You may choose to include further statements, where relevant, about:

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
We were successful in building our number of children attending the Meithrin this year. The Meithrin have received grants from Flying Start to employ another member of staff to work out of ration to help support the development needs of the children. This enabled us as a group to replenish old and worn equipment for the children and to develop their skills and play further and enhance social engagement and embed the New Curriculum that provides fun, realistic and authentic experiences.

The income is applied to purchasing sundries and resources for the Cylch (from toilet roll to food to large equipment), rent, staff wages, utilities and insurances. We try to keep staff costs down by training apprentices and helping them gain their level 3 and beyond in Child care.

Respective The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. responsibilities of The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year trustees and examiner under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
-
examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act,
-
to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act, and

Basis of independent My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given examiner’s statement by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent examiner's statement
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention.

which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in, any material respect, the requirements:

-
have not been met; or
