To advance the education of the public by the establishment and maintenance of an archive of material comprising photographs, documents, artefacts and memoirs relating to the RAF Pathfinders of WWII; to categorise, interpret and publish commentary on the material; and to arrange displays with, and exchange, loan or donate material to suitable museums for the purpose of public education.

Having had regard to the guidance on public benefit issued by the Charity Commission, the trustees have exercised their powers and carried out their duties by:

a. the continuation of the very active and successful website at https://raf-pathfinders.com/ and new website: https://rafpathfinders.com/

b. the utilisation of social media such as Facebook to publicise the website and the charity’s work

c. the collection from members of the public of a large number of digital photographs, documents and memoires, to add to the existing digitised collection, to save for posterity and for future research

a. the successful development of the thematically structured website, which will continue to run in tandem with the old website for possibly another 1 1/2 years

b. the use of social media to publicise the charity c. the collection from members of the public of a large number of digital photographs, documents and memoires to add to the existing digitised collection, to save for posterity and for future research

d. the receipt of additional Pathfinder physical artefacts as donated gifts
-
e. the setting up of a museum-standard database, known as the catalogue, of the Archive’s assets, both digital and physical
-
f. the agreement with the Pathfinder Collection at RAF Wyton for the Archive to enter their digitised material on the catalogue (marked with the origin of the material), and the creation of administration procedures to manage the joint material.
